Introduction
One Mate and one Slim tracker are included in this starter two-pack. Use our free iOS or Android app to locate your keys by directly attaching Mate to them, keeping Slim in your wallet, and doing so. Keep track of more for less or give them as gifts to your loved ones. Ask your Smart Home device to locate it for you, or use the Tile app to ring your Mate and Slim when they are within 200 feet. Siri, Xfinity, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and Tile are all compatible.
Use the Tile app to view your Tile’s most recent location when out of Bluetooth range, or ask the secure and anonymous Tile Network for assistance. Even when your phone is silent, use Tile to locate it. HOW DOES TILE WORK?
During set up, the Tile app on your smartphone “discovers” the Bluetooth enabled Tile and establishes a connection. Tile then uses the location services of your smartphone to communicate up-to-date location information to the app.
Tile has three main finding features. You can:
- Ring your Tile from the Tile app when it is within Bluetooth range
- View the last known location of your Tile using the map on the Tile app
- Enable ‘Notify When Found’ to enlist the help of the Tile community to locate your Tile
But wait, there’s more! With Tile you can also:
- Use the Circles to Find if you can’t hear your Tile ring, just watch the green circles fill in as you get closer.
- Use Find My Phone to find your phone or tablet with a push of your Tile’s button
- Share your Tile with a trusted friend or family member

Please also check to see if you have these settings enabled for Tile to work properly:
- Your Bluetooth is turned on.
- Your Location settings are turned on correctly.

- Your device’s software is up to date. This will ensure your device has the latest Bluetooth support.
- You have the latest version of the Tile app.
FAQs
You actually don’t need to attach a Tile to your phone at all! One of Tile’s core finding features is the ability to ring your phone using any Tile that is connected. Simply double-click the button on your Tile! Please be advised that this requires the app to be open and running within Bluetooth range, so make sure to leave the app running in the background of your phone.
Absolutely! You can give your kids a Tile each. Tiles comes un-activated, and can only be activated once.
We’ve made some improvements to our Tile Mate and are super excited to share them with you! The newest version of Mate boasts an increased range of 200 feet and louder max volume. Batteries are replaceable and guaranteed to last 1 full year. We hope you love the new and improved Mate – give it a try and share your feedback with us!
Tile is a small Bluetooth device you can attach to your key chain, briefcase, and bag to name a few things. It connects with your mobile device and allows you to ring your misplaced item or vice versa, ring your phone.

The Tile Mate is great for keys, backpacks, pets, etc. Though it can work on wallets, we have designed a Tile that is specifically for wallets – the Tile Slim. Its design is thin, discreet and roughly the size of 2 credit cards. Slim can slip easily into wallets and passports cases or be adhered to the back of tablets and laptops. We’ve also increased the Bluetooth range to 200 feet! Also, the battery life has been improved to last up to 3 years with no additional upkeep.
You don’t actually need to put a Tile physically on your phone in order to locate it. However, you do need a Tile and our companion app to ring your phone. Our engineers are constantly working to improve the battery consumption of our app. I can say that the Tile app is optimized so that it takes up as much battery as most other apps running on your phone. The key difference is that our app, unlike many others, does need to be open and running in the background at all times and performs background activity to ensure your items are still being tracked reliably.
You can definitely use Tile with your pet cat!

I would say not. Tile uses Bluetooth which will be spotty through a plane fuselage. It should give you last known location which might help. However, my success rate within 10’ and no obstruction is about 50/50 so I wouldn’t believe it if it said your dog was not on board.
Tile is compatible with Apple devices, such as your iPhone as long as it meets the device compatibility requirements. Your Apple device should be running iOS 12 or newer and has Bluetooth 4.0 or higher. For more information, please visit the Tile App website’s help center and search “Device Compatibility.”
Your ISP and your smart home hub are different things. Your adapters not working has nothing to do with Fios. These work with echo as long as you have an internet connection.
Mine came in the same package so maybe check the packaging.
If you can download the Tile App, it will work.
