Step-by-Step Guide to Update FlexNX/LT Software:
- Connect a USB drive to your computer.
- Download the software update ZIP package.
- Copy the entire ZIP package to the USB drive without extracting
it. - Eject the USB drive from the computer.
- Power on your FlexNX or FlexLT device.
- Tap the screen at the Main Dashboard where the current software
version is displayed. - Wait for the installation process to complete.
- After installation, the device will reboot and show a
configuring page. - Once configuration is done, the device will reboot again and
return to the dashboard. - Verify that the software version (2.304) is correctly displayed
on the dashboard. - If updating satellite antennas (NX25 or NX15), power cycle the
device manually before proceeding. - Update satellite antennas one at a time by powering on FlexNX
or FlexLT first, then powering on the satellite antenna.

Step-by-Step Guide to update FlexNX/LT Software
Prior to installing software version 2.304 please confirm that your FlexNX, Flex LT, NX25 and/or NX15 are all running version 2.178 or later. If an earlier version is currently installed, do not attempt to update. Instead, contact softwaretechsupport@geophysical.com for assistance. 1. Download latest software .ZIP package here: https://www.geophysical.com/support/flexnxsupport NOTE: There two download options: one for Nexus (Flex NX, Flex LT, NX25, and NX15) and one for Nexus Elements (NX25 and NX15 ONLY). Be sure to select the “Full Nexus Release” package. 2. Select a USB drive that is formatted as FAT32 You can check the format of the drive by right clicking the drive in Windows and selecting “Properties”:
3. Copy the entire ZIP package to the USB drive. Do not extract the .ZIP package. 4. After copying the package over to the USB drive the root of the drive should look like this (only
one folder):
5. Remove the USB drive from the computer. 6. Power on Flex NX or Flex LT. 7. Once at the Main Dashboard, tap the screen where it lists the current software version:

10. After the installation is complete the FlexNX/LT cart will reboot and populate a configuring page:
11. Once configured the FlexNX/LT will reboot once again and return to the dashboard. Confirm the software version (2.304) is reporting correctly on the dashboard.
12. If NX25 or NX15 need to be updated, first perform a manual power cycle for FlexNX or Flex LT. 13. Update satellite antennas one at a time. Start by powering on Flex NX or Flex LT, then power on
NX25 of NX15. Once connected, follow the prompts on Flex NX or Flex LT to update the satellite antenna. Do not power off the antenna when the LED is blinking magenta. 14. Once the update is completed, NX25 or NX15 will reboot into the Nexus Elements Interface and display a slow flashing yellow LED. Simply pair as normal to Flex NX. For Flex LT, pair the satellite antenna by tapping the connector side of the Flex Tether Module to the satellite antenna’s NFC sticker.
