Range of Motion

This section describes the cart's movement capabilities.

Vertical Adjustment: Up to 20 inches (508 mm) ↑↓ Diagram showing a vertical range of motion with arrows indicating up and down movement within a 20-inch (508 mm) range.

Tilt Adjustment: Up to 12 degrees ←→ Diagram showing a monitor screen tilted, with an arrow indicating tilt adjustment up to 12 degrees.

CAUTION! Completely release brake engagement before raising or lowering the cart. Raising or lowering the cart with the brake partially engaged may cause product damage.

Wheel Operations:

  • Wheel Rotation [rotate]
  • Wheel Rotation and Swivel [swivel]
  • Locked [locked]

Ergonomics

Working - Customize to Your Size

  1. Set the top of the monitor screen about one inch below eye level. Release the brake and lift or lower the riser as needed.
  2. Tilt the screen for comfortable viewing and to reduce eye and neck strain.
  3. Pull the keyboard tray forward and position the mouse tray and mouse pouch on the right or left, as needed.
  4. Work with elbows bent at about 90° to minimize muscle strain.
  5. If the riser moves up and down with difficulty, or if it drifts out of its set position, consult the product manual for adjustment information.
  6. Stay in charge! Powered carts should be plugged into an outlet as often as possible to keep the battery charged and the computer running.
Diagrams illustrating ergonomic working positions: setting monitor height, tilting screen, positioning keyboard and mouse trays, maintaining 90-degree elbow bend. A numbered diagram shows points 1-6 related to adjustment and charging.

Moving - Stow - Before You Go

  1. During normal movement, release the brake and lower the worksurface to the lowest position for optimal stability and unobstructed view.
  2. Tuck away open trays and return the mouse, scanner, and other accessories to their places.
  3. Unlock both front casters.
  4. Push the cart from the rear with elbows bent at about 90° to maximize control and minimize muscle strain.
  5. Don't run out! Before moving, make sure the cord is unplugged from the outlet and hooked to the basket for safe travel. Remember, charge the battery fully to 100% every day!

Keyboard Light

Your computer must be on for this light to function. The Keyboard Light will automatically turn off after 15 minutes if not manually turned off.

Power System Interface

This interface alerts you to the battery charge percentage with steady or flashing red, yellow, or green lights. An alarm beeps when the charge drops below 10%. Remember: The battery needs to be charged to 100% daily. You can use the cart while charging, so plug it in often to avoid running out of power. NOTE: Put the monitor in power save mode to optimize battery run time.

Battery Status Indicators:

  • 100% Charge: Light flashes when charging (power cord plugged into wall outlet). Allow charging until light stops flashing. It is then safe to unplug the power cord. You can use the cart while charging.
  • Less than 90% Charge: [indicator-light-status-description]
  • Less than 60% Charge: [indicator-light-status-description]
  • Less than 10% Charge: Alarm beeps. Light is orange, then turns red when battery has less than 5% charge. Plug in the power cord and charge to 100%. You can use the cart while charging.
Diagrams illustrating battery charge levels with corresponding indicator lights (100%, <90%, <60%, <10%) and descriptions of light colors and states.

Controls:

  • Alarm Mute Button: Pressing this will temporarily mute the alarm. When the battery has less than 5% charge, the alarm mute is only effective for 1 minute. [alarm-mute]
  • Power Button: For internal power system outlets. Pressing this provides or removes power to/from components plugged into the internal outlets. [power-button]

Low Charge Recovery & Faults:

If the battery is stored too long without recharging, its electronics may cause the battery voltage to drop too low. The power system will enter a low charge recovery mode when plugged into a power source.

  • Low Charge Recovery: During this process, the indicator light will blink green. Once finished, the system resumes normal charging. If recovery takes longer than 45 minutes, contact Ergotron Customer Care.
  • Normal Charging: This light will be green.
  • Critically Low Charge: This light will be blinking red.
Diagram showing a battery indicator light blinking green during low charge recovery, green when charging normally, and blinking red when charge is critically low.

NOTE: Frequent operation of the cart while battery charge levels are below 10% may reduce the life of your battery.

If other lights are flashing red/green, it could indicate a power system fault. If this occurs, contact Ergotron Customer Care.

Power System Status: When lit, the power system is on. When dark, the power system is off.
