Backup Razer Synapse Profiles
To safeguard your custom settings, follow these steps:
- Create a Razer Synapse account or ensure you have an existing Razer ID.
- Export your profiles within Razer Synapse.
If you use an existing Razer ID, your profiles are typically synced and can be automatically downloaded upon re-installation.
Steps for Clean Re-installation
Close Razer Synapse Programs
Ensure all Razer Synapse applications are not running:
- Open the System Tray (bottom-right corner of the screen).
- Right-click the Razer Synapse icon and select "Exit All Apps."
Uninstall Razer Synapse
Remove all Razer Synapse related programs:
- Right-click the Start button and select "Apps and Features."
- Search for "Razer" in the search box.
- Select each Razer program and click "Uninstall."
- Confirm any Windows User Account Control prompts by clicking "Yes."
- In the Razer Installer window, select "UNINSTALL."
- Under "Select the Software to Uninstall," choose "Select All" and then "UNINSTALL."
- Confirm the removal in the uninstall confirmation window by clicking "YES, REMOVE."
- Click "CLOSE" once the uninstallation is complete.
- Repeat these steps for any other relevant Razer programs.
- Close the "Apps & Features" window and disconnect non-essential Razer devices.
Clean System Remnants
To ensure a complete removal, delete any remaining Razer Synapse folders and files. These are often hidden by default. Access "File Explorer Options," go to the "View" tab, and select "Show hidden files, folders, and drives" to display them. If unable to delete, stop any running Razer Synapse processes via the Task Manager.

Reinstall Razer Synapse
Download and install the latest version of Razer Synapse. During installation, select only "Razer Synapse." Other Razer programs can be installed later if needed.
