Proper use
MDB Connect may only be used with the specified JURA interfaces. It provides wireless communication between the coffee machine and various accessories (for compatible machines, see jura.com). Use for any other purpose will
be deemed improper. JURA cannot accept any responsibility for the consequences of improper use.
Overview of MDB Connect

- Connector: For inserting into the service socket of the coffee machine / MDB interface / Cool Control
Installation
- MDB Connect must be inserted into the service socket of the automatic coffee machine (which is switched off).
- This is usually on the top or at the rear of the machine, beneath a removable cover. If you don’t know where the service socket of your coffee machine is, ask your dealer or go to jura.com.
- Plug the MDB Connect into the coffee machine’s service socket. The “Collection” programme item appears in the coffee machine’s settings.

Connecting to JURA Cool Control
MDB Connect can be used to connect the coffee machine to Cool Control. This requires that Cool Control is also equipped with MDB Connect. If a machine is switched off and then on again, the connection is re-established automatically.
Resetting MDB Connect to factory
Settings in Cool Control
MDB Connect can be reset to factory settings should any general problems occur (such as connection problems). To do this, press and hold the Cool Control On/Off button Q.

For this machine, JURA Products Ltd, Vivary Way, Colne, Lancashire, offers to the end customer, in addition to the rights of guarantee from the retailer, an optional manufacturer‘s warranty with the following terms and conditions for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- During the warranty period, defects will be remedied by JURA. JURA shall decide whether to remedy the defect by repairing the machine, replacing defective parts,s or replacing the machine. The performance of warranty services shall not cause the warranty period to be extended or restarted. Replaced parts become the property of JURA.
- A warranty service is not applicable for damage or defects caused by incorrect connection, incorrect handling or transport, repair attemp, ts or modifications by unauthorised persons or non-compliance with the instructions for use. In particular, the warranty shall be void if JURA’s operating or maintenance instructions are not followed, or if maintenance products other than JURA water filters, JURA cleaning tablets, or JURA descaling tablets are used, which do not correspond to the original specifications. Wearing parts (e.g., seals, grinding discs, valves) are excluded from the warranty, as is damage caused by foreign bodies entering the grinder (e.g, stones, wood, paper clips).
- The sales receipt, specifying the purchase date and machine type, must be provided as evidence for warranty claims. To simplify the process, the sales receipt should also include the following information, where possible: name and address of the customer and serial number of the machine.
- Warranty services are performed in the United Kingdom. For machines purchased in one EU country and taken to another EU country, services will be performed under the JURA warranty conditions applicable in this country. An obligation to provide warranty services only exists if the machine satisfies the technical specifications applicable in the country in which the warranty claim is made.
- In the United Kingdom, warranty services are performed by authorised JURA service provider centres for commercial models.
