INTENDED USE
This InLine® Quad Gigabit Ethernet adapter is an additional card for plugging into the computer.
- Can be used with Windows PC and Linux
- Installation in a free PCIe slot on the computer`s mainboard
GENERAL WARNINGS
- Do not open the housing for installation until the power source has been disconnected
- Protect from dust and moisture
If the computer housing is open, live parts can be touched, there is a risk of electric shock and the installation may have to be carried out by a specialised company.
NON-INTENDED USE
The following is considered improper use in the sense of foreseeable misuse:
- Install the PCI adapter in the correct slot, otherwise the computer and card may be damaged.
- Avoid the occurrence of short circuits or bypasses during installation.
INTRODUCTION
This InLine® Quad Gigabit Ethernet PCIe adapter is a high performance 10/100/1000/2.5G BASE-T Ethernet LAN controller, which is perfect for home and office use. It offers a cost-effective solution for connecting to a network at a data transfer rate of up to 2500 Mb/s and can be used with any Cat.5e cabling or higher up to a maximum distance of 100 metres without any problems.

- Optical drive for driver installation

Before installing and activating the interface card, please ensure that you have a complete backup of your existing data from the hard disc. The manufacturer is not responsible for data transfer due to misuse, misapplication or negligence. If you have an installation problem, please contact your dealer.

HARDWARE INSTALLATION
- Switch off your computer and all external devices connected to it
- Disconnect your computer from the power source, unplug the power cable, disconnect all peripheral devices
- Open the computer case. Refer to the computer manual for further details
- Locate a free PCIe slot and remove the slot bracket. Save the retaining screw for later use
- Align the card horizontally to the PCIe slot and insert it firmly and evenly into the slot
- Once you have inserted the card correctly into the slot, secure it to the computer housing using the retaining screw
- Connect the system to the network by plugging the 8-wire Cat.5e or Cat.6 cable (not included) into the RJ45 connector on the network card
- Close and secure the computer housing. Switch on your computer after you have connected all peripheral devices and the power cable
DRIVER INSTALLATION
- Start Windows and insert the driver CD into the optical drive.
- Open one of the following folders on the driver CD, depending on your operating system:
• For Windows 7, Server 2008 R2 (32/64 bit): [Letter of the optical drive]:\RTL8125\Windows\Win7_Server2008 R2\Install_Win7_7127_10222019, double-click the „setup.exe“ fi le
• For Windows 8, 8.1, Server 2012 (32/64 bit): [Letter of the optical drive]:\RTL8125\Windows\Win8_8.1_Server2012\Install_Win8_8.1_8073_10222019, double-click the „setup.exe“ fi le
• For Windows 10 (32/64 bit): [Letter of the optical drive]:\RTL8125\Windows\Win10\Install_Win10_10036_10222019, double-click the „setup.exe“ fi le
• For Windows 11 (32/64 bit): [Letter of the optical drive]:\RTL8125\Windows\Win11\, double-click the „Install_PCIE_Win11_11.4.1201.2021_01182022.exe“ fi le - Follow the instructions on the screen to install the driver
- Once the driver installation is complete, you can use the device properly.
