Insert two AA alkaline batteries. Close the battery compartment cover and wait until LA flashes and then turns solid on the screen.
Press the center button on the device to wake it up. Ensure it is in the OF mode, press and hold the center button until the screen displays – – and the Wi-Fi flashes.

Confirm if you need an adapter. If you already have a radiator valve that has a dial on the top of it with numbers, your radiator is compatible with the Imou TRV. You can install the device directly. If your existing valve is small and discrete, you may need to use one of the adapters included in the package. Install the adapter before you install the valve. If you do not find a suitable adapter, please purchase separately.
Install the thermostatic radiator valve. Rotate the copper ring to tighten the thermostatic radiator valve.

Set Up the Device

The device should be used with Imou Smart Gateway together. Set up your account by adding a gateway as per the user manual provided.

Scan the QR code or search for Imou Life to download and install the app. Create an account and log in.
Press the button and wait until the indicator flashes blue rapidly.

Press the center button on the device to wake it up. Ensure it is in the OF mode, press and hold the center button until the screen displays – – and the Wi-Fi flashes.
The device will automatically pair to the gateway. After pairing is completed, you will find your devices displayed on the home page of the Imou Life app.

FAQ

How do I know if my radiator valve is compatible with the Imou TRV?
If your existing radiator valve has a dial on top with numbers, it is compatible with the Imou TRV and can be installed directly. If your valve is small and discrete, you may need to use one of the adapters included in the package.
Can I use rechargeable batteries with the Thermostatic Radiator Valve?
No, do not use rechargeable batteries with this device. It requires 2 AA alkaline batteries for operation.

How do I turn off Child Lock mode on the Thermostatic Radiator Valve?
Press and hold the center button for 5 seconds to exit Child Lock mode.

Pairing Mode
To pair with the gateway, in the “OF” mode, or rotate the knob below 5°C until “OF” shows, press and hold the button for 5s until “- -” and “Wi-Fi” flash.

Enable Child Lock
To enable child lock mode, press and hold the button for 5s when the screen shows the temperature value between 5 to 35°C or “OC”. And then the screen displays current ambient temperature. Press and hold the button for 5s to exit child lock mode.

Turn off Child Lock
Press and hold the button for 5s to exit child lock mode.

Rotary Knob

Rotate the knob to adjust the temperature.
When the temperature is lower than 5°C, the device enters the standby mode.

Screen Display and Descriptions

Install the Device

Slide the battery compartment cover downward in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Insert two AA alkaline batteries. Close the battery compartment cover and wait until “LA” flashes and then turns solid on the screen.
Press the center button on the device to wake it up. Ensure it is in the “OF” mode, press and hold the center button until the screen displays “- -” and the “Wi-Fi” flashes.
- The calibration process may take 10 seconds.
- If the screen does not display “OF”:
  - If “LA” turns solid on the screen, press the center button to continue the calibration process.
  - If the screen displays a temperature value, rotate the knob counterclockwise to adjust the value to lower than 5 °C.
  - If the screen displays a “LC”, press and hold the knob for 5s and then adjust the value to lower than 5 °C to cancel children lock mode.

Then the device will automatically pair to the gateway. After pairing is completed, you will find your devices displayed on the home page of the Imou Life app.
