Important Safety Instructions

  • This appliance contains no user serviceable parts; only a qualified electrician should carry out repairs. Improper repairs may place the user at risk of harm.
  • Keep the appliance and its power supply cord out of the reach of children.
  • Keep the appliance out of the reach of children when it is switched on or cooling down.
  • Keep the appliance and its power supply cord away from heat or sharp edges that could cause damage.
  • Keep the power supply cord away from any parts of the appliance that may become hot during use.

Do's and Don'ts

Do's:

  • Ensure the base of the hot chocolate maker is clean before each cycle.
  • Always fill the hot chocolate maker above the minimum fill line, ensuring not to exceed maximum measures.

Don'ts:

  • Do not plug the hot chocolate maker into the mains supply before adding milk.
  • Do not operate the hot chocolate maker when it is empty.
  • Do not let the base come into contact with liquid.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  • Turn off and unplug the hot chocolate maker and let it cool completely before any cleaning or maintenance.
  • Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  • Do not immerse the hot chocolate maker in water or any other liquid.
  • Clean the interior with warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Note: The hot chocolate maker must be cleaned after each use.
  • Warning: The hot chocolate maker is not dishwasher safe. Never immerse electrical components in water or other liquids. Do not use scouring pads or aggressive/abrasive detergents.

How to Use

Before First Use:

Clean the hot chocolate maker following the instructions in the 'Maintenance and Cleaning' section.

Using the Hot Chocolate Maker:

Operating Steps:

  1. Place the base of the hot chocolate maker on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface at a comfortable height.
  2. Insert the frothing whisk onto the rod at the bottom of the machine, ensuring it is securely fitted.
  3. Pour the required amount of milk into the hot chocolate maker as per instructions.
  4. Attach the lid and place the main unit onto its base. Plug the main unit into the mains supply and switch it on. '00' will display, indicating the appliance is on.
  5. Press the Power/Function button once for Thick Foam, twice for Fine Foam, three times for Hot Milk/Hot Chocolate, and four times for Cold Foam.
  6. The temperature display will show the thermostat temperature, increasing until the desired temperature is reached. The machine will emit three beeps, and the temperature display will return to '00' to indicate the cycle is complete.
  7. Note: When using the hot chocolate maker for multiple cycles, rinse the interior with cold water between cycles for best results.

Preparing Hot Chocolate

  1. Pour the required amount of milk into the hot chocolate maker as per instructions.
  2. For 500 ml of milk, add up to 55 g of chocolate shavings.
  3. Press the Power/Function button three times to start the cycle.

Storage

Ensure the hot chocolate maker is cold, clean, and dry before storing it in a cool, dry place. Do not coil the cord too tightly around the appliance; coil it loosely to avoid damage. Do not store the cord inside the hot chocolate maker.
