Important Notes

  • Install and test the lock with the door open to avoid being locked out.
  • DO NOT install the batteries before installing the lock!
  • Follow the instructions in sequential order.
  • Please use AA Alkaline Batteries and do not use Lithium Batteries or rechargeable batteries.
  • Replace batteries when a low wattage alarm sounds.
  • Read this manual carefully before installation and keep it for future reference.

The lock has approximate dimensions of 72.00mm width, 140.00mm length, and 19mm thickness for certain components.

Installation Guide

Follow these steps for proper installation:

Step 1: Install Mortise

Install the mortise mechanism into the door. Refer to the diagram for correct placement and orientation.

Step 2: Install Exterior Assembly

Install the waterproof assembly. Insert the square shaft through the latch mechanism. Install the positioning columns. Attach the exterior assembly, referring to the diagram for guidance. Finally, install the interior assembly.

Step 4: Install Batteries

Open the battery cover on the interior assembly. Insert 4 AA alkaline batteries. Replace the battery cover. The installation is now complete.

Initialization and App Operation

Initialization

After installation, open the cover plate of the front panel. Long press the 'Reset' button located on the back panel for approximately 5 seconds. The lock will then be initialized and ready for setup.

App Operation

6.1 Download

To control the smart lock via your smartphone, search for the '[Smart life]' application in your device's app store. Alternatively, scan the provided QR code to initiate the download.

6.2 Register

Upon opening the app, click 'Sign Up' and review the Privacy Policy. Agree to the terms to proceed to the registration page. You can register using either an email address or a mobile number. It is recommended that the country/region selected in the app matches your phone's country/region. After entering your mobile number or email, click 'Get Verification Code'. Enter the received code on the app and proceed to set your password. Once the password is set, click 'Done'.

Gateway Addition (Optional)

For extended functionality, the smart lock may support gateway addition. Follow the on-screen prompts within the app. Confirm the status of the Wi-Fi light (red) and Bluetooth light (blue) as indicated. Complete the addition process by following the app's instructions.

Member Management

The smart lock allows for managing different types of members, which are consistent with users registered in the associated mobile application. When a new user is added to the app, they will appear as a family member. Deleting family members can only be performed through the member management section within the app. This management applies to users who are registered in the door lock and are part of the app's family group.

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation. Any changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. To maintain compliance with FCC's RF Exposure guidelines, this equipment should be installed and operated with a minimum 20cm distance between the radiator and your body. Use only the supplied antenna.
