Mounting Tips
Warning: Disconnect the negative (-) terminal of the car battery before mounting. Ensure all connections are correctly polarized to prevent short circuits in the vehicle's electrical system. Original mounting locations are recommended for ease of installation and maintaining the original appearance. Ensure speakers are mounted flush and securely. Proper installation quality significantly impacts sound; use damping materials and exercise care. Protect speakers from heat, sunlight, mechanical stress, moisture, and wetness using AUDIO SYSTEM accessories.
Attention: Route cables carefully to avoid pinching or running them over sharp edges, which can cause short circuits and damage. Be cautious when removing original interior trim parts, as they can be damaged and may need replacement.
Important: Correct speaker polarity is crucial for optimal sound. Experimenting with tweeter polarity may improve sound. Listening and/or measuring is recommended.
Mechanical Installation Tip
First, disconnect the negative pole of your car battery. Check polarity; reversing polarity may cause serious damage to your car's electrical system. Best speaker positions are the original built-in locations for easy installation and an original look. Please note that speakers must be installed flat and stable. The quality of the installation greatly influences the sound, so pay attention to insulation and care during installation. Protect speakers from heat, sunlight, mechanical influences, moisture, and wetness using AUDIO SYSTEM accessories.
Attention: Install all cables as straight as possible without squashing or laying them over sharp edges. Otherwise, this can cause short circuits or damage to your entire installation.
Attention: Be careful when removing original plastic parts of your car, as fitting parts could be damaged and require replacement. Important: The right polarity of all speakers is extremely important for the sound of your car audio system. We recommend changing the polarity of the tweeter to find the best possible sound. The best approach is to listen and/or measure.
Install Tweeter Mounting
Important: The tweeter has a vehicle-specific mounting for your Volkswagen. To mount, carefully cut or open the plastic welds of your original tweeter. The new tweeter can then be glued or plastic-welded into place.
Tweeter (Crossover FWK TW EVO)
Important: The speaker system can be adapted to the vehicle's acoustics, music genre, and personal taste via the crossover. Depending on speaker placement, the crossover can be adjusted to optimize the frequency response for specific geometric conditions. Adjustments to tonal response and volume level may be necessary based on the tweeter's installation location (e.g., A-pillar, mirror triangle, door trim).
Attention: Free cable ends must be isolated. Non-compliance can lead to a short circuit!

Midrange Speaker (Crossover FWK MW)
Please connect the FWK MW crossover to the car connector and the AS 165 EM EVO. It is a non-configurable, fixed crossover.
Rain Protection MBR165
Install the MBR165 rain protection between the speaker adapter LSR GOLF IV EVO and the AS 165 EVO speaker. The water cap must be positioned above the magnet. The rain protection may require trimming with scissors or a cutter for a proper fit.
