To avoid accidental ingestion, keep the product away from children and pets. The product contains a lithium-ion battery and may be hazardous if swallowed. If ingested, seek immediate medical attention. When not in use, store the product and keep it out of reach of small children and pets.

Do not expose the product to water, rain, liquids, or snow.
Use of a power supply or charger not recommended or sold by the power pack manufacturer may result in a risk of fire or injury to persons.
Do not disassemble the product. Take it to a qualified service person when service or repair is required. Incorrect reassembly may result in the risk of fire or injury to persons.
Do not open, crush, or expose the product to fire or excessive temperature. Exposure to fire or temperature above 212° F, 100° C may cause an explosion.
Have servicing performed by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the product is maintained.
Use caution and follow applicable laws regarding mobile phone and headphone use if using the product for phone call recordings while driving. Some jurisdictions impose specific limitations, such as a single earpiece configuration, on the use of such products while driving.

Do NOT make unauthorized alterations to this product.

SILICONE PADS
HiDock P1 mini is designed for smartphone recording, since users may attach different phone cases, the thickness of the USB-C port may be different. The P1 mini USB-C male plug was designed to accommodate a thick smartphone case, and we offer 3 types of Silicone Pads. You can verify with your phone case thickness and attach the right-size pad to your P1 mini. You can find our video guide on the HiDock YouTube Channel.

HINOTES APP SETUP

HiNotes is the companion app for HiDock devices; it lets you associate and control HiDock P1 mini.
Using the app, you can manage BlueCatch settings, device configurations, choose your preferred summary template, and share notes.
HiNotes App is available on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

POWER

P1 mini has no built-in battery. It has to be plugged into a smartphone or tablet to power up.
When plugged in, P1 mini will auto-power on. When plug-out, it will auto power off.

HOW TO ASSOCIATE AND ACTIVATE HINOTES MEMBERSHIP

To get the most out of your HiDock P1 mini, including limitless transcription, you need to associate your device with the HiNotes app and activate your membership.

ASSOCIATE YOUR DEVICE

Plug your HiDock P1 mini to Your Smartphone.
Open the HiNotes app, and it will automatically detect the device and guide you to the association
Click Associate.
Name your device.
● Choose “Public” or not: whether to allow other team members to access recordings from this device.
● Enable Public: This allows anyone with a HiNotes account to view and access recordings on this HiDock P1 mini, making collaboration easy.
● Disable Public: Keep it private for personal use only. This is the recommended setting if you have high security requirements, as it ensures no one else can access your on-device recordings.
Now you have associated the device to your HiNotes account successfully.

ACTIVATE YOUR MEMBERSHIP
You can skip this section if you already have other HiDock devices (H1, HIE, P1, etc.). We recommend that you to view your Membership with the HiNotes Web Application (https://hinotes.hidock.com).
Once your Pl mini is associated, your HiNotes Membership (including limitless free transcription) will activate automatically.
Your level of plan (Membership, Pro Membership, or Unlimited Membership) will be shown on your settings page.

HOW TO BLUECATCH YOUR BLUETOOTH EARPHONES

BLUECATCH YOUR BLUETOOTH EARPHONES

Connect the P1 mini to your smartphone
● Open your HiNotes App
Click the device icon from the bottom bar
● Navigate to BlueCatch™
Put Your Earphones into Pairing Mode
● Take AirPods, for example, place your AirPods inside the charging case and open the lid.
● For AirPods 4 (both models), double-tap the front of the case until the status light flashes white.● For all other AirPods models, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case until the status light flashes white.● For other brand earphone models, please refer to this blog or your earphone user manual.
Initiate Bluetooth Pairing
● Under BlueCatch, click Scan.● The LED Light on your HiDock P1 mini will flash blue and white, indicating it’s searching for devices.
Select and Connect Your Earphones
● Your earphones will appear in the list in the HiNotes App.● Click it to connect, and set the device to headphones. TIP:
It is important to set this to Headphones for calls and recording.
Confirmation of Successful Pairing
● Once pairing is successful, the earphones’ name will be displayed in HiNotes.● The LED Light on HiDock P1 mini will turn BLUE.

TIP:

You will hear a voice prompt saying “BlueCatch Successful” if you’re wearing the earphones.

RECONNECT TO YOUR EARPHONES
Automatic Reconnection
When you plug in HiDock P1 mini, and your Bluetooth earphones have BlueCatch successfully before, they will reconnect automatically.

Manual Reconnection
If the connection doesn’t happen automatically, short-press the BlueCatch Button on the P1 mini to initiate a manual reconnection.

DISCONNECT YOUR EARPHONES
Disconnect Manually
To disconnect your earphones, press and hold the BlueCatch Button for 3 seconds. The LED light will blink blue 3 times, indicating that the Pl mini is no longer connected.

And you will also hear the voice prompt “BlueCatch Release”.

Automatic Disconnection
If your earphones are powered off or out of range, HiDock P1 mini will automatically disconnect after a short period.

RECORDING MODES

Online conference calls and face-to-face meetings can both be recorded by P1 mini with its purposely designed 2 modes.

CALL MODE
HiDock P1 mini allows you to record high-quality calls directly from your smartphone by BlueCatch your Bluetooth earphones and use P1 mini as virtual headphones.

How to Use Call Mode on Your Smartphone

Select HiDock P1 mini as the Headphone device

Call Mode records from your earphone’s mic and speaker, so both your voice and the other party’s voice will be captured in two-way audio.

VoiceMark Important Moments
During the call, you can use the VoiceMark feature to mark key moments in real time. These markers will appear in your App transcript for easier navigation and summarization. Simply press the HiDock button to add a VoiceMark.

NOTES:
If you don’t BlueCatch your earphones, you don’t see HiDock Pl mini as a headphone device on your smartphone. So please make sure you BlueCatch first, then join a meeting or call.

ROOM MODE
When HiDock Pl mini is not BlueCatch connected to any earphone, it works as a standalone recorder and automatically records to Room Mode, designed for recording face-to-face conversations, team huddles, or lectures.
In Room Mode, Pl mini can still record if your screen goes off. It can record up to 4 hours.

How to Use Room Mode

Plug in to your smartphone
Make sure you don’t BlueCatch any earphones
Place your smartphone
Lay it flat on a table or hold it in your hand for the best microphone coverage.
Capture Range
The built-in microphones record voices clearly within a 3-meter (10 ft) radius.

Room Mode uses super-wideband audio and advanced microphone technology to ensure high-quality recordings in real-world environments.

Question:
Does Pl mini consume my smartphone battery? How much?

Answer:
Room Mode

iPhone 16 Pro Max: About 2% battery per 1 hour of recording.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: About 3% battery per 1 hour of recording.

Call Mode

iPhone 16 Pro Max: About 4% battery per 1 hour of recording.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: About 4% battery per 1 hour of recording.

In Call Mode, the phone screen stays on during the call; additional battery consumption occurs.

Tip:
You can use the P1 mini USB-C port to charge your smartphone.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

FIRMWARE OTA UPDATE
By utilizing OTA (over-the-air update) capabilities, HiDock P1 mini ensures that its firmware remains up-to-date with the latest performance enhancements and compatibility improvements. You can confidently rely on HiDock P1 mini to provide seamless connectivity and functionality across various devices.
You can update the firmware when connected to the HiNotes app, and an update is available. Follow the app instructions.

Connect the P1 mini to HiNotes.
Navigate to the settings menu, click firmware version
If you see a new version is ready, you can click to view its content and proceed
In the middle of the update, P1 mini will show a Yellow light blinking
When the update is finished, you will receive a prompt, and P1 mini will automatically restart.

NOTES:

It may take about 3 minutes to finish updating. During the update, please do not plug out P1 mini.

STORE THE PRODUCT
When storing the product for an extended period of time (more than 4 weeks), make sure it is stored at room temperature and humidity.
