User Guide

Introduction

HiDock H1 is an Al-powered Audio Dock designed for personal desktops. It connects to computers with a USB Type-C interface and can also connect to smartphones using Bluetooth technology. Users can utilize HiDock H1 for various communication applications with HiDock’s proprietary Bi-directional Noise Cancellation (BNC) technology. BNC reduces noise from both the user’s side and the caller’s side. Its built-in recorder can store up to 1000 hours (32GB) of audio. HiDock H1 is equipped with rich and powerful interfaces, including 100W Power Delivery, Dual 4K/60Hz HDMI ports, Dual USB-C support USB 3.2 Gen2, Dual USB-A, 2.5Gbps Ethernet and Dual solt SD 4.0 Card Reader.
HiDock H1 is designed to provide clean desktop, clear communication and productive work experiences.

Set Up

Connecting to power

1. Connect one end of the AC power cord to the power supply, and connect the other end to an outlet.
2. Connect the power supply to the DC IN port on HiDock H1.

Connecting via USB-C Cable

1. Connect one end of the USB-C Caleb to the USB-C upstream port on HiDock H1, and connect another end to the USB-C port on your laptop.
2. In the audio settings of your laptop, select “HiDock H1” as the sound input and output.
3. To use HiDock H1 for your meeting, select “HiDock H1” as both the microphone and speaker in the audio settings of your video conference software (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

Set Up
Connecting via Bluetooth

1. Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button on the left side for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. There will be a voice prompt.
2. When you hear the voice prompt, go to the Bluetooth settings and select “HiDock H1” on your smartphone.
3. To use HiDock H1 for your meeting, select “HiDock H1” as both the microphone and speaker in the audio settings of your video conference software (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

ZeroOops™™ Control Panel

Introducing the ZeroOops™ Control Panel, an ongoing innovation by HiDock to empower users in managing meetings and communications with ease. The design of the H1 device has been enhanced from our generation 1 model, featuring improved ergonomic design and intuitive elements like the knob and slider. These refinements, including the addition of the knob and slider, contribute to a more user-friendly experience for seamless control during meetings and communication sessions.
ZeroOops™™ Control Panel

Icon	Buttons	Feature
	Volume Up Volume Down	Scroll the knob clock-wise to turn computer or smartphone volume up. Scroll the knob anti-clock-wise to turn computer or smartphone volume down.
	Play/Pause	Press the knob to pause current music play. Press the knob again to resume current music play.
	Far-End Noise Level Control	Slide this button up to increase the noise reduction level for far-end noise. Slide to bottom disables far-end noise reduction. This feature is for users to control the noise reduction level from the caller’s side. If the caller side is noisy (for example, at Cafe or airport), it is recommended to slide up to remove as much noise as possible. If the caller side is quite (in office, meeting room), it is recommended to keep the position low.
	Microphone Mute	Press to turn off microphone, LED Ring will show red color. Press again to turn microphone back on, LED Ring will stop showing red color.
	Answer Call	Press to answer a meeting call or phone call.
	End Call	Press to end current call.
	HiDock Key	This is a multifunction key. Long press 1.5 seconds to start recording. Long press 1.5 seconds again to stop recording. During recording, quick press once to mark the current recording position.

HiDock El

Use HiDock E1
Take HiDock E1 out from the case, the audio will switch from HiDock H1 to earphone when you wear it well on your ear.Function Button
Long press 2 seconds the function button to start recording.
During the recording, short press the function button to add a mark.
Long press again to stop the recording.
Touch Button
Long touch for 2 seconds to mute/unmute the microphone.
Double click it to answer/hang up the call.

Charge HiDock E1
HiDock E1 charges while in the case. Ensure the case is connected well with HiDock H1.
Pairing Between Case and Earphone 
The case and earphone are paired when they come out of the factory, you don’t need to pair them when using them.
However, if they need to be paired again, there is a pairing button on the back of the case. Press it simultaneously with the record button on the earphone for 6 times. It will reset and pair with each other again.

HiNotes

HiNotes is HiDock’s Al assistant that offers voice-to-text transcription and GPT-powered summary in 57 languages. It helps you stay organized during conversations and get well-structured notes afterward, including meeting key points, to-do lists, and more.
Simply connect HiDock H1 to your laptop, and you can choose to manually or automatically upload your recordings to HiNotes. It will then automatically analyze them, providing you with accurate transcriptions and well-structured notes for your review.

Special Requirements

System and Cable Requirements
A host laptop with an available USB-C port (to ensure full functionality of the adapter, the host USB-C port must support PD 3.0 and DP Alternative mode).
For multi-display configurations, the computer must support MST.
Important Notice:
Not all USB-C ports support all features of the USB Type-C standard. Please ensure that your host USB-C port supports PD 3.0 and DP Alternative mode.
A display supporting 4K resolution is required to achieve 3840 x 2160p resolution. A computer supporting 4K resolution is required to achieve 3840 x 2160p resolution.
Your laptop may have specific charging requirements. For example, if your laptop only supports custom adapters for charging when the computer is excessively discharged and unable to power on due to low battery, your laptop may not recognize it.

Product Warranty

Customers of HiDock enjoy an 18-month warranty service starting from the date of purchase. To avail of the warranty service, customers should provide a valid device serial number, which can be found on the bottom of the product.

Data Safety
HiDock only records audio when the user presses the HiDock Key. It is a stand-alone device and does not connect to the Internet independently.
It can only connect to PCs via USB or smartphones via Bluetooth. The recordings uploaded to the cloud for transcription are encrypted and protected to ensure data safety.
Safety Operation Instructions

1. Please ensure that the microphone’s sound input port and the speaker’s sound output port are not covered by newspapers, books, curtains, etc., during use.
2. Do not expose the product to dripping or splashing water, and do not place objects filled with liquid, such as cups, on top of the product.
3. Do not expose the product to open flames (e.g., lit candles).
4. Do not place the product on uneven surfaces to prevent it from falling.
5. Please do not place the product near medical devices. This product contains magnets.

This equipment complies with FCC radiation exposure limits set forth for an uncontrolled environment. This equipment should be installed and operated with minimum distance of 20 cm between the radiator and your body. This transmitter must not be co-located or operating in conjunction with any other antenna or transmitter.
EU regulatory conformance:
20cm (E101/HiDock H1):
RF exposure information: The Maximum Permissible Exposure (MPE) level has been calculated based on a distance of 20cm between the device and the human body. To maintain compliance with RF exposure requirement, use product that maintain a 20cm distance between the device and human body.
5mm (E102):
RF exposure information: The EIRP power of the device at maximal case is below the exempt condition, 20mW specified in EN62479: 2010. RF exposure assessment has been performed to prove that this unit will not generate the harmful EM emission above the reference level as specified in EC Council Recommendation(1999/519/EC).
