    Question

How can I prevent the GuliKit ES Controller from automatically powering off or disconnecting from my PC during use?

    Answer

The GuliKit ES Controller is designed to automatically power off after 15 minutes of inactivity to save battery. If you are only using one side of the controller, the device may not be detecting enough input to stay active.

To prevent the controller from turning off during your gaming sessions, you can use one of the following methods based on the user manual:

    • Use a Wired Connection: Connect the controller to your PC using the USB-C to USB-A data cable. The manual states that the controller will not power off when connected via USB. For desktop computers, use the USB ports on the back of the case for the most stable connection.
    • Enable Auto-Turbo Mode: The manual indicates that the controller will not power off if Auto-Continuous Fire (Turbo) is active. You can activate this by holding the Setting button (gear icon) and pressing the desired button twice (indicated by two vibrations).
    • Check Battery Levels: If the indicator light is flashing, the battery is low. Low battery can cause the controller to behave unexpectedly or disconnect.

If you prefer to play wirelessly, ensure you are occasionally moving the joysticks or pressing buttons on the unused side to reset the 15-minute inactivity timer.

    Question

Why does my GuliKit ES Controller turn off or disconnect after 10-20 minutes even when connected via USB cable to my PC?

    Answer

According to the GuliKit ES Controller manual, the controller is designed to automatically power off after 15 minutes of inactivity. However, the manual explicitly states that the controller will not power off when connected via USB.

If your controller is still disconnecting while plugged in, please try the following steps to ensure a stable wired connection:

    • Check the Mode Switch: Ensure the slide switch on the back of the controller is set to PC mode.
    • Use Rear USB Ports: If you are using a desktop computer, the manual recommends plugging the USB cable into one of the USB ports on the back of the computer case for a more stable connection, as front-panel ports can sometimes provide inconsistent power or data.
    • Verify Cable Type: Ensure you are using a high-quality USB-C to USB-A data cable. Some cables are for charging only and may not maintain a stable data connection for the 1000Hz polling rate used in wired mode.
    • Disable Auto-Sleep: If the controller is only being used on one side (e.g., only the left stick/buttons), the PC or controller might perceive lack of input on other axes as inactivity. However, as long as the USB connection is active and recognized, it should stay powered on.

If the issue persists despite using a rear USB port and a known good data cable, there may be a hardware fault with the USB-C port or the cable itself.

    Question

Why does my GuliKit ES controller turn off or disconnect after 10-20 minutes when connected to a PC via USB cable?

    Answer

According to the GuliKit ES Controller manual, the device is designed to automatically power off after 15 minutes of inactivity. However, the manual explicitly states: "When connected via USB... the controller will not power off."

If your controller is still disconnecting while wired, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    • Check the Connection: Ensure you are using a USB-C to USB-A data cable. Some cables are for charging only and will not maintain a data connection, causing the controller to rely on battery/Bluetooth and eventually time out.
    • PC Port Selection: If you are using a desktop computer, the manual recommends using the USB ports on the back of the computer case for a more stable connection. Front-panel ports often provide less power or have higher interference.
    • Mode Switch: Ensure the slide switch on the back of the controller is set to PC mode before connecting the cable.
    • Reset the Controller: You can try resetting the controller to default settings by holding the Setting button (Gear icon) and the Minus (-) button until you feel a long vibration.

If the issue persists despite using a rear USB port and a known-good data cable, there may be a hardware fault with the USB-C port or the cable itself.
