Safety information

Warning! Please read the following information carefully before installing and using.

• Please read and understand this manual completely before installing and using the product. Keep the CX3 controller away from fire, excessive heat, water, duct and contamination.
• Do not open or disassemble the CX3 controller. Opening the controller will void its warranty immediately.
• The input voltage should be kept above 11.sv and below 12.sv DC; the input current should not be lower than 1oomA; otherwise, the product may not work properly.
• CX3 controller should only be used to control compatible Faven lights. Do not connect the CX3 controller to other products, as this can be dangerous and may cause the connected equipment to malfunction. Doing so will void the warranty.
• Do not place the LCD in a hot or humid environment and expose the LCD screen to direct sunlight or strong fluorescent light for long periods.
• Do not leave the CX3 controller unsecured from wall mount brackets.

Installation

Mount with 3M Adhesive

• Remove the tape cover from the iron plate and paste the plate on the mount surface where you want the controller located.
• Then you can place the CX3 Controller on the iron plate via a built-in magnet on its back.
  

Mount with Expansion Screws
This installation method requires drilling holes where you plan to mount the CX3 Controller. First measure the distance between the holes on the iron plate and mark the distance on the mounting surface. Next, use a drill to create the necessary holes and push the plastic expansion pipes in. Then line the iron plate’s holes with those holes, and screw it into place using the expansion screws. Now the Controller can be placed directly onto the iron plate thanks to its built-in magnet!

You can also hang your CX3 Controller directly on the screws without using the iron plate. First, measure a center distance of 74mm and drill an expansion screw on each point. Next, hang the CX3 Controller directly on the screws by sliding the slotted hanging holes over the screws and then allowing the CX3 Controller to hang down.

1. Home Button Press to return to the home screen.
2. Light Settings Press to open light adjustments and scheduling screen.
3. Configuration Screen Press to open the configuration settings for your lighting fixtures.
4. Setting: Press to access controller settings.
5. Channel Button: Press to switch Channel 1/ Channel 2.
6. Spray Mode: Press to toggle spray mode on/off.

Chroma: Scheduling
The CX3 Controller provides two scheduling modes for Chroma fixtures: Manual Mode and Daily Schedule Mode.

Manual Mode
Manual Mode allows users to operate fixtures at a constant intensity and spectrum without creating a lighting schedule. Simply select Manual Mode, set the desired fixture intensity, and adjust the spectrum using the spectrum slider located beneath the spectrum graph. The selected settings will remain active continuously until they are changed or another operating mode is selected.

Daily Schedule Mode
Daily Schedule Mode allows users to create a repeating daily lighting schedule.
To configure a Daily Schedule:

• Set the desired fixture intensity.
• Adjust the fixture spectrum using the spectrum slider.
• Select the daily start time.
• Select the daily end time.

Once configured, the fixtures will automatically turn on and off each day according to the programmed schedule.
This is the same process for R Series: R6, R8.

Chroma: Far Red Scheduling
The CX3 Controller also allows users to create independent schedules for far-red output.
To configure a far-red schedule:

• Enable the Far-Red feature.
• Set the desired far-red intensity.
• Configure one or more daily start and end times.

Multiple far-red schedules can be created to support specific cultivation strategies throughout the photoperiod.

Daily Schedule: Pause
When a Daily Schedule is active, the controller will follow the programmed schedule automati­cally. To make manual adjustments or temporarily override the schedule, press the Pause button. Once adjustments are complete, press the Play button to resume scheduled operation.

Series Scheduling
The CX3 Controller provides two scheduling modes for R Series fixtures: Manual Mode and Daily Schedule Mode.

Manual Mode
Manual Mode allows users to operate fixtures at a constant intensity without creating a lighting schedule. Simply select Manual Mode and set the desired fixture intensity. The selected intensity will remain active continuously until it is changed or another operating mode is selected.

Daily Schedule Mode
Daily Schedule Mode allows users to create a repeating daily lighting schedule.
To configure a Daily Schedule:

• Set the desired fixture intensity.
• Select the daily start time.
• Select the daily end time.

Once configured, the fixtures will automatically turn on and off each day according to the programmed schedule .

Fixture Configuration
The Fixture Configuration page allows users to configure fixture-specific settings and controller behavior. Use the channel selector at the top of the screen to switch between Channel 1 and Channel 2 settings.

Channel 1 Settings
The following settings are available when Channel 1 is selected:

• Fixture Type – Select or change the fixture type assigned to the controller.
• Spray Mode – Enable or disable Spray Mode. When activated, fixture output will be temporarily reduced to allow for crop spraying or maintenance activities.
• Sunrise/Sunset – Enable or adjust the Sunrise and Sunset feature settings to provide a gradual ramp-up and ramp-down of fixture intensity.

Fixture Configuration

Channel 2 Settings
When Channel 2 is selected, all Channel 1 settings remain available, along with an additional control option:

• Channel 2 Mode – Select whether Channel 2 operates in Follow Mode or Independent Mode.

Follow: Channel 2 will mirror all settings programmed on Channel 1. Independent: Channel 2 can be programmed separately with its own schedules and control settings.

Note: Some versions of the CX3 interface may display Auto Dim, Auto Shutdown, Tempera­ture Calibration, Humidity Calibration, and CO2 Calibration options. These features require compatible environmental sensors, which are currently under development. Until sensors are available and installed, these functions will display “No Sensor” and cannot be used .

Settings
The Settings page allows users to customize controller preferences and access system information.

Settings Available
The following settings are available:

• Date and Time – Set or adjust the current date and time used by the controller.
• Time Format – Select either a 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour time display format.
• Temperature Unit – Select the preferred temperature unit: Fahrenheit (‘F) or Celsius (‘0.
• Touch Voice – Enable or disable the controller’s touch sound effects.
• Screen Brightness – Adjust the display brightness to the desired level.
• Screen Off Time – Set the amount of time the controller remains inactive before the display automatically turns off.
• Screen Lock Time – Set the amount of time the controller remains inactive before the screen lock is activated, or disable the screen lock feature entirely.
• Language – Select the preferred display language for the controller interface.

Settings
The Settings page allows users to customize controller preferences and access system information.

System Information
The System Information page displays important controller information, including hardware and software version details.

Factory Reset

• The Factory Reset option restores the controller to its default factory settings. Performing a factory reset will erase all user settings, schedules, and configuration data stored on the controller.

Warning: Performing a factory reset cannot be undone. Ensure that all settings and schedules have been documented before proceeding.

WARRANTY
The company warrants the mechanical and electronic components of this product and guarantees the materials and workmanship free of defects if used under normal operating conditions, for a period of three (3) years from the original date of the purchase. If you find that there are any defects with this product that relate to either the workmanship or the materials but are not due to improper use or user error, the company shall, at its discretion, either replace or repair the product using the appropriate new or reconditioned parts. In the case that the company decides to replace the entire product, the date of the limited warranty shall apply to the replacement from the date of the purchase of the initial product for three (3) years.
