Operating Instructions
1. Powering On/Off: Turn the rotary switch to the desired function. The multimeter will power on automatically. To turn it off, turn the rotary switch to the OFF position.
2. Measuring Voltage: Connect the red test lead to the VΩmA jack and the black test lead to the COM jack. Select the appropriate AC or DC voltage range and connect the probes in parallel with the circuit under test.
3. Measuring Current: Connect the red test lead to the A jack (for higher currents) or VΩmA jack (for lower currents) and the black test lead to the COM jack. Connect the probes in series with the circuit. Ensure the correct current jack is used to avoid blowing the fuse.
4. Measuring Resistance: Connect the red test lead to the VΩmA jack and the black test lead to the COM jack. Select the appropriate resistance range and connect the probes across the component to be measured. Ensure the circuit is de-energized.
5. Continuity Test: Select the continuity function (often indicated by a buzzer symbol). Connect the probes across the component. If the resistance is below a certain threshold, the buzzer will sound.
6. NCV Test: Select the NCV function. Bring the tip of the multimeter near a conductor. If voltage is detected, the indicator light will flash and an audible alarm will sound.
Maintenance
Keep the multimeter clean and dry. Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using solvents or abrasive cleaners. Store the multimeter in a cool, dry place when not in use.
Troubleshooting
No display: Check if the battery is low or depleted. Replace the battery if necessary.
Inaccurate readings: Ensure the test leads are properly connected and the correct function/range is selected. Check for damaged test leads or low battery.
