Bluetooth Stereo Headset User Guide
Headset Overview
This section provides a visual overview of the Poly Voyager 8200 UC headset. The headset features left (L) and right (R) earcups. Key controls and indicators include:
- Siri/Google Assistant Button ?️: Access your smartphone's voice assistant.
- Volume Wheel ?: Adjust volume up (+) or down (–).
- ANC Button ?: Activate Active Noise Cancellation.
- OpenMic Button ?: Hear your surroundings.
- Call/Microsoft Teams Button ?: Answer/end calls, interact with Microsoft Teams.
- Power Switch ?: Slide to turn the headset on or off.
- Bluetooth Pairing LED ?: Indicates pairing status.
- USB Charging Port: For charging the headset.
The headset's microphone is located on the front of the earcups. For optimal call audio, ensure the left and right earcups are worn correctly on the ears.

Bluetooth USB Adapter
The high-fidelity Bluetooth USB adapter comes pre-paired with your Poly device. Plug it into your computer to connect to high-fidelity computer audio. Note: The USB connection and adapter design may vary, but its function remains the same.

Connection and Pairing
Connecting to a PC
The Bluetooth USB adapter is pre-paired with the headset.
- Turn on the headset and insert the Bluetooth USB adapter into your laptop or PC.
- The USB adapter's LED will flash and then stop flashing to indicate the headset is connected to the adapter. If you are wearing the headset, you will hear "PC connected" ?✔️ to confirm the connection. During a call, the adapter's LED will flash blue. When not on a call, the LED will remain solid.
- Download the Poly Lens desktop application from poly.com/lens. This allows you to customize headset behavior through advanced options and settings.
Configuring the USB Adapter
The high-fidelity Bluetooth USB adapter allows you to answer calls. To listen to music, you will need to configure the Bluetooth USB adapter.
Windows
- To configure the Bluetooth USB adapter for music playback, go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Sound > Playback tab. Select Poly BT700 or Plantronics BT600, set it as the default device, and click OK.
- To pause music during calls (making or receiving), go to Start Menu > Control Panel > Sound > Communications tab and select your desired setting.
Mac
- To configure the Bluetooth USB adapter, go to Apple Menu > System Preferences > Sound. In the Input and Output tabs, select Poly BT700 or Plantronics BT600.
Pairing with a Mobile Device ?
- To put the headset in pairing mode, press and hold the power switch towards the Bluetooth icon ? until you hear "Pairing" ? and the headset LEDs flash red and blue.
- Activate your phone's Bluetooth and set it to search for new devices.
- Select "Poly V8200 Series".
When pairing is complete, you will hear "pairing successful" ?✔️ and the headset LEDs will stop flashing. NOTE: The headset can be paired with up to 8 devices but only maintains 2 connections simultaneously. This includes the Bluetooth USB adapter.
Pairing Mode
Press and hold the power switch towards the Bluetooth icon ? until the LEDs flash red and blue.
Re-pairing a USB Adapter
Normally, the USB adapter comes factory-paired with your Poly device. If the adapter disconnects or is acquired separately, you will need to pair it with your Poly device. The pairing method depends on the USB adapter model.
Re-pairing a USB BT700 Adapter
The USB adapter requires the Poly Lens desktop application to pair with a Poly audio device. Download from poly.com/lens.

- Insert the high-fidelity Bluetooth USB adapter into your laptop or desktop computer and wait for the computer to recognize it.
- Put your Poly audio device into pairing mode.
- Launch the Poly Lens desktop application and navigate to Poly BT700.
- To put the Bluetooth USB adapter into pairing mode, select "Pair new device" on the adapter's main page or in the additional menu. The adapter will flash red and blue.
When pairing is successful, you will hear "pairing successful" ?✔️ and "PC connected" ?✔️. The Bluetooth USB adapter's LED will then show a solid blue light. NOTE: To re-pair with the Plantronics Hub desktop application, go to the Poly BT700 general settings in the app and select "Pair".
Re-pairing a USB BT600 Adapter

- Insert the high-fidelity Bluetooth USB adapter into your laptop or desktop computer and wait for the computer to recognize it.
- Put your Poly audio device into pairing mode.
- Set the Bluetooth USB adapter to pairing mode by pressing and holding the pairing button with a pen or clip until the adapter starts flashing red and blue.
NOTE: The adapter design varies depending on the USB connection.
When pairing is successful, you will hear "pairing successful" ?✔️ and "PC connected" ?✔️. The Bluetooth USB adapter's LED will then show a solid blue light.
NFC Pairing ?
- Ensure NFC is activated on your phone and the screen is unlocked.
- Tap and hold the headset against the NFC tag until NFC pairing is complete. If prompted, accept the connection.
SUGGESTION: Your smartphone screen will provide prompts to initiate and accept the pairing process.

NOTE: The NFC tag on the headset is located on the outside of the left earcup. The location of NFC tags on phones varies.
Fit
IMPORTANT: The headset microphone is located on the front of the earcups. For the best sound during calls, ensure the left and right earcups are placed correctly in your ears.

Software Loading
Customize device behavior through advanced options and settings with the Poly Lens application. For device control features (answer/end call and mute), some softphones require Poly software to be installed. Download from poly.com/lens. NOTE: Device settings and updates are also available in the Plantronics Hub application.
Updating Your Poly Device
Keep your firmware and software up to date to improve performance and add new features to your Poly device. Update your device using your computer with the Poly Lens desktop application. Download from poly.com/lens.
During the update:
- Do not use the Poly device until the update is complete.
- Do not start a second update on another device.
- Do not play multimedia content.
- Do not answer or make calls.
Basic Concepts
Power On/Off ?
Slide the switch to turn on or off.
Volume ?
Turn the volume wheel forward (+) or backward (–) to control the volume.
Making/Receiving/Ending Calls ?
Adjusting Headset Microphone Volume (Softphone)
Make a test softphone call and adjust the device and PC audio volume accordingly.
Answering a Call
Choose an option:
- Press the Call button ?.
- Put on the headset to answer a call.
IMPORTANT: For the best sound during calls, ensure the left and right earcups are placed correctly in your ears.
Answering a Second Call
First, press the call button ? to end the current call. Then, press the call button ? again to answer the new call.
Ending a Call
Press the call button ? to end the current call.
Mute Function ?
If you have an active call, you can choose to:
- Press the red Mute button ?.
- Remove/put on the headset when a call is active (requires smart sensors to be enabled).
Call on Hold
Double-tap the call button ? to put a call on hold. Double-tap the call button ? again to answer an incoming call.
NOTE: Up to two calls can be put on hold.
Call Switching (Instant)
Double-tap the call button ? to switch between calls. NOTE: Instant switching only works between calls of the same type. It does not work between mobile and softphone calls.
Redial Last Call
Double-tap the call button ?.
Answering Calls from a Secondary Device
It is easy to answer calls from two devices (including softphones). When on a call, you will hear a ring notification for an incoming call from the second paired device. To answer a second call from another device, first press the call button ? to end the current call, then press the call button ? again to answer the new call. If you choose not to answer, the second call will go to voicemail.
Interacting with Microsoft Teams / Skype for Business ?
- For Microsoft Teams, tap the headset's call button ? (application required).
- For Skype for Business, press and hold the headset's call button ? for 2 seconds (application required).
- Set the target phone in Poly Lens desktop application > Softphones > Software Settings > Target Softphone.
Music Playback ▶️ / ⏸️
Press the Play/Pause button ▶️ / ⏸️.
NOTE: Since the headset is equipped with sensors, music can be paused when you remove the headset. Music resumes when you put the headset back on (functionality varies by application and may not work with web-based applications).
Track Selection ⏭️ / ⏮️
Tap the Forward button ⏭️ or Rewind button ⏮️ to control track selection.
Voice Control ?️
Press and hold the Play/pause ▶️ / ⏸️ button for 2 seconds until you hear a tone to activate your smartphone's default voice assistant (Siri, Google Assistant, Cortana).
Charging ?
It takes 3 hours to fully charge the headset. The LED indicators turn off once charging is complete.
SUGGESTION: To check the headset's battery status, tap the call button ? while wearing the headset. The headset must be inactive.
The headset provides up to 24 hours of listening time.
Other Features
Sensor Usage
Smart sensors detect when you put on or take off the headset. Customize them in Plantronics Hub. The default configuration is described below.

NOTE: *Functionality varies by application and may not work with web-based applications.
Resetting Sensors
You may need to reset the sensors if they are not functioning as expected. To reset the headset sensors, connect it directly to your computer's USB port and place it, earcups up, on a non-metallic flat surface for more than 10 seconds.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) ?
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) reduces external noise and improves your sound and music quality. Slide the ANC switch to choose:
- Medium: Recommended for office.
- High: Recommended for airplane.
OpenMic ?
When not on a call, tap the red button ? to hear your surroundings (music and audio will pause).

How do I interact with Microsoft Teams or Skype for Business? |

Does my Microsoft Teams-enabled headset work with other softphones? | Yes, while your headset is optimized for Microsoft Teams, it can be configured to use with other supported softphones. Set your target phone by going to Poly Lens desktop application > Softphones > Software Settings > Target Softphone. When you configure another softphone, the Call button:
