Initial Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Bryton Rider 17:

  1. Download the Bryton Active app on your smartphone.
  2. Turn on your Rider 17 device.
  3. Log into the Bryton Active app and add your Rider 17 to your account.
  4. Configure your profile, preferences, and data page grid via the app before your first ride.

Key Functions (Buttons)

Understand the main buttons on your Rider 17:

  • Button A (Power/Return/Lap/Menu):
    • Press: Power on the device.
    • Press in meter page: Enter the menu.
    • Press while recording: Mark a lap.
    • Long press (when paused or not recording): Shut down the device.
    • Press in menu: Cancel or return to the previous screen.
  • Button B (OK/Start/Pause/Stop recording):
    • Press in meter page: Start recording an activity.
    • Press while recording: Manually pause the recording.
    • Long press: End and automatically save the activity.
    • Press in menu: Confirm an option or select OK.
  • Button C (Page/Backlight):
    • Press in meter page: Switch to the next data page.
    • Press in menu: Scroll down through menu selections.
    • Long press: Turn the backlight on or off.

Rebooting the Rider

To restart your device, press and hold buttons A, B, and C simultaneously.

Data Synchronization

Sync your data wirelessly with the Bryton Active app via Bluetooth:

  • Your Rider computer can upload recorded tracks and update firmware.
  • Ensure your device is added to your Bryton Active account before the first sync.
  • To add your device:
    1. Sign up or log in to your Bryton Active App account.
    2. Navigate to "Settings" and tap "+" to add a new device.
    3. Select your Rider 17 from the list and confirm.
    4. Your device will now be paired with the app.
  • You can enable the "Auto Sync Track" feature for automatic uploads.

  • GPS Signal: Weak GPS Signal, No GPS Signal, Strong GPS Signal
  • Connectivity: Phone Connected
  • Status: LiveTrack Activated, Recording, Pause
