Unpacking & Setup

WARNING

⚠️ Unpalletizing requires lifting. Two or more personnel should move the machine. Failure to do so may result in severe injury or damage.

Unpalletize Machine:

  1. Remove all sides and cover of the shipping box by unfolding tabs using a flat-head screwdriver and hammer if needed.
  2. Remove plastic wrapping from the machine.
  3. Carefully remove both side panels using a Phillips-head electric screwdriver to avoid scratching or denting.
  4. Remove the two stabilizing bolts securing the machine to the shipping pallet/box using a #12 wrench and #12 ratchet.
  5. Reattach both side panels using the Phillips-head electric screwdriver.
  6. Prepare the area where the machine will be placed.
  7. Place the machine in its final location according to Installation Requirements.

CAUTION

The machine is designed for ambient temperatures of 60-75°F. Higher temperatures may result in less than optimal performance.

Prior to Operating

ATTENTION

WARNING: Fill with potable water only.

Work Condition Specifications:

Placement: The machine must be on a level stand with at least 12 inches of space around it to prevent overheating. Keep the machine away from heat-generating appliances and direct sunlight.

Electrical Connection: Ensure the electrical supply matches the machine's rating on the technical data plate. Plug into a grounded socket or GFCI outlet.

Operating Instructions

The sugar content of the mixed liquid must be more than 13% to prevent damage to the beater and gear motor.

If the liquid level is below the middle of the beater, refill the bowl. Failure to do so may result in a consistency that is too thick, potentially damaging parts. Remember to turn off the machine before refilling.

⚠️ NEVER FREEZE WITH ONLY WATER!

Pure ice will break the machine.

Start Slush Ice Production:

Refer to the switch diagrams for each model (XC112, XC224, XC336) to understand the function of each switch:

Addendum: Control Panel Access & Updated Switch Symbols (2024 Models)

For 2024 XC224 models, the control panel is relocated for convenience. Open the hinged door on the right side to access controls.

Note on Switch Symbols: Symbols have been updated for clarity. For example, the “Mix” switch may now display a ? symbol instead of the previous one. Familiarize yourself with the updated layout; functionality remains unchanged.

Switch Operation:

Adjusting Slush Thickness: Use the screw on the backside of each bowl. Adjust counter-clockwise for thicker slush (+) and clockwise for thinner slush (-).

Dispensing

Place the cup under the tap. Push the handle lever down to dispense.

Maintenance

  1. Turn off all function switches.
  2. Empty the bowl by operating the tap.
  3. Turn off the power switch and unplug from the power source.
  4. Fill with hot water to completely empty the bowls.
  5. Empty the bowl by operating the tap.
  6. Remove the handle assembly. Wash all parts carefully in clean water.
  7. Lift the front of the bowls until they release. Remove the back of the bowl until it is completely detached.
  8. Take off the spiral beater and gasket of the bowl.
  9. Clean all parts with a mild dishwashing liquid detergent and rinse with clean water.
  10. ⚠️ NEVER USE ABRASIVE AGENTS.
  11. The spiral beater and bowl will click into place. Listen for a click when replacing the bowl to ensure it is securely seated.
  12. Condenser Cleaning: A clogged condenser can affect performance. Periodically clean the condenser located inside the machine. Remove side panels and use a brush to stroke in the direction of the cooling fins to remove debris.
