KPX-100 Quick Start Guide (Single-User-Mode)

KPX-100 Programmable Keypad

This guide is to set up a simple single user code for activating the KPX-100. Apply 12–24 Volts to T1 and T2. Wire T4 and T5 to the Free Exit/ Exit loop terminal as specified by your operator.

  1. To enter programming mode Press EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 1 The center amber light will turn solid to denote 0 0 0 0 * programming mode.
  2. Enter EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 2
    The keypad will beep twice.
    This will set the device to single user mode.
    NOTE: this command factory resets existing codes
  3. Enter EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 3,followed by your desired four digit code, 1 followed by #. The Kpx-100 will beep twice. This number CANNOT match the programming code.
  4. (Optional) Press EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 4 followed by your desired four digit PROGRAMMING CODE followed by #. The keypad will beep twice. EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 5 ←Write new programming code and store in a secure location. 0
  5. Press * to exit programming mode.
    The amber light will resume blinking.
  6. Enter the four digit opening code you assigned in step 3.
    The keypad will activate on the 4th digit

EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - overview 1

This guide is to set up 3 simple codes for multi-user-mode to activate the KPX-100. Apply 12-24 Volts to T1 and T2. Wire T4 and T5 to the Free Exit/ Exit loop terminal as specified by you operator.

  1. To enter programming mode Press The amber light will turn solid to denote programming mode. EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 6
  2. Enter EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 7
    The keypad will beep twice.
    This will set the device to Multi-User-Mode.
    Note: Do step 4 first if using 5–8 digit codes instead of 4 digit codes. ENTRY CODES AND PROGRAMMING CODE MUST BE THE SAME LENGTH.
    The Kpx-100 can support up to 100 codes numbered 0–99 Entry codes can match across users.
    The programming code in step 4 cannot match any entry code in the system.
  3. Code 1: Enter EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 8
    Code 2: Enter EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 9
    Code 3: Enter EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 10
  4. (Optional) Enter EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 4 followed by your desired 4-8 digit PROGRAMMING CODE followed by #. 0 The keypad will beep twice. Entry codes must be the same length as the programming code. (Examples: Programming code EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 11 Entry code EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 12, Programming code EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 13 Entry code EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 14) EMX INDUSTRIES KPX 100 Programmable Keypad - icon 15 ←Write new programming code and store in a secure location.
  5. Press * to exit programming mode The amber light will resume blinking.
  6. Enter the opening code you assigned in step 3 followed by #. The relay will activate.
