    Question

How do I fix reversed opening and closing directions on my DiO 54863 remote control?

    Answer

If the opening and closing directions on your DiO 54863 remote control are reversed (e.g., pressing the 'down' arrow makes the shutter go up), this is typically an issue with the wiring of the shutter motor or the receiver module rather than a setting on the remote itself.

    To resolve this, you should:

    • Check the wiring: In most cases, the 'Up' and 'Down' wires connected to your DiO shutter module or motor are swapped. You will need to switch the positions of the brown and black wires (the directional wires) at the receiver/motor terminal.
    • Re-pair the device: If the wiring is correct but the logic remains inverted, try deleting the association between the remote and the receiver (as described in section 2.2 of the manual) and then re-pairing them (section 2.1).

Note: The DiO 54863 remote does not have a software-based 'reverse' function; it simply sends an 'On' signal for the up button and an 'Off' signal for the down button to the receiver.
