Note: Yealink W76P DECT IP phone consists of one W70B base station and one W56H handset.

Assembling the DECT Phone

1. Connect the base station power and the network using method a or b.

Power Options

a. AC Power Option

Connect the power adapter to the base station and a power outlet.

b. PoE (Power over Ethernet) Option

Connect the base station to an IEEE 802.3af compliant PoE Hub/Switch using an Ethernet cable.

Note:

  • If you choose method a, use the Yealink supplied power adapter (5V/0.6A). A third-party power adapter may damage the base station.
  • If you choose method b, you do not need to connect the power adapter. Ensure the hub/switch is PoE-compliant.

Base Stand Installation

2a. (Desktop Installation) Attach and remove the base stand.

Attach the Base Stand: Align the snap-fits with the corresponding holes and push forward, snapping them into the holes.

Remove the Base Stand: Remove the snap-fits from the holes horizontally.

2b. (Wall-Mount Installation) Attach the base station.

Description of wall-mount installation: Shows drilling holes (59mm apart) and mounting the base station to the wall.

Handset Setup

3. Insert the battery into the handset.

Description of battery insertion into the handset.

4. Attach the belt clip to the handset.

Description of attaching the belt clip to the handset.

5. (Optional) Mount the charging cradle to the wall.

Description of wall-mounting the charging cradle, indicating mounting hole distances (36mm).

6. Connect the charging cradle and charge the handset.

Description of connecting the charging cradle to power and placing the handset on it to charge.

Note:

  • Use Yealink-supplied power adapter (5V/0.6A). A third-party power adapter may damage the handset.
  • Check the charging status on the top-right corner of the LCD screen.

Hardware Component Instructions

Handset Components:

  • 1 Receiver: The earpiece for audio reception.
  • 2 Power LED Indicator: Indicates power status.
  • 3 Phone Screen: Displays information and menus.
  • 4 Soft Keys: Programmable keys below the screen.
  • 5 Message Key: Accesses voicemail messages.
  • 6 Speakerphone Key: Activates/deactivates speakerphone.
  • 7 Navigation Keys: Used for menu navigation (Up, Down, Left, Right, OK).
  • 8 OK Key: Confirms selections.
  • 9 On-hook Key/Power Key: Ends calls or powers the device on/off.
  • 10 Off-hook Key: Initiates or answers calls.
  • 11 Keypad: Numeric keypad for dialing and input.
  • 12 TRAN Key: Used for transfer or other functions.
  • 13 Mute Key: Mutes/unmutes the microphone.
  • 14 Microphone: Captures audio input.

Operating Ambient Temperatures

  • Operating temperature: +14 to 122°F (-10 to 50°C)
  • Relative humidity: 5% to 90%, noncondensing
  • Storage temperature: -22 to +158°F (-30 to +70°C)

Yealink's product warranty is limited to the unit itself when used according to operating instructions. Yealink is not liable for damage or loss resulting from product use, third-party claims, financial damages, lost profits, or claims arising from product use.

Safety Instructions

Save and read these safety instructions before use.

General Requirements

  • Read safety instructions carefully before installation and use.
  • Keep the device dry, clean, and avoid collision/crash during storage, transportation, and operation.
  • Do not attempt to dismantle the device; contact an appointed maintenance center for repair.
  • Respect relevant laws and statutes regarding device usage.

Environmental Requirements

  • Place the device in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight.
  • Keep the device dry and free of dust.
  • Do not place the device near flammable or fire-vulnerable objects (e.g., rubber-made materials).
  • Keep the device away from heat sources or open flames (e.g., candles, electric heaters).

Operating Requirements

  • Do not allow children to operate the device without guidance or play with it unsupervised.
  • Use only Yealink-provided or authorized accessories.
  • Ensure the power supply meets the device's input voltage requirements; use the provided surge protection power socket.
  • Ensure hands are dry before plugging/unplugging cables.
  • Do not spill liquids on the product or use it near water (e.g., bathtub, sink, wet basement, swimming pool).
  • During thunderstorms, stop using the device, disconnect power, and unplug the power plug and ADSL/radio frequency cables to avoid lightning strikes.
  • If the device is unused for an extended period, disconnect it from power and unplug it.
  • If smoke, abnormal noise, or smell is detected, immediately disconnect the device from power and unplug it.
  • Contact the specified maintenance center for repair.
  • Do not insert foreign objects into equipment slots.
  • Connect the grounding cable first before connecting other cables; do not disconnect the grounding cable until all other cables are disconnected.

Battery Requirements

  • Do not immerse the battery in water to prevent short-circuiting and damage.
  • Do not expose the battery to open flames or extreme heat, which could cause explosion.
  • Power off the handset before removing the battery.
  • Do not use the battery for any device other than this handset.
  • Do not open or mutilate the battery; released electrolyte is corrosive.
  • Use only the supplied rechargeable battery pack or Yealink-recommended replacements.
  • Dispose of defective or exhausted batteries properly; return them to the supplier, a licensed dealer, or a designated collection facility.

Cleaning Requirements

  • Disconnect the device from power before cleaning.
  • Use a soft, dry, anti-static cloth for cleaning.
  • Keep the power plug clean and dry.

Troubleshooting

Issue: The unit cannot supply power to Yealink device.

  • Cause: Bad connection with the plug.
  • Solution: 1. Clean the plug with a dry cloth. 2. Connect it to another wall outlet.
  • Cause: Usage environment is out of operating temperature range.
  • Solution: Use the device within the operating temperature range.
  • Cause: The cable between the unit and the Yealink device is connected incorrectly.
  • Solution: 1. Connect the cable correctly.
  • Cause: You cannot connect the cable properly.
  • Solution: 1. You may have connected a wrong Yealink device. 2. Use the correct power supply.
  • Cause: Some dust, etc., may be in the port.
  • Solution: 1. Clean the port.
