Usage Instructions

1. Installation:

– Install the UPS in a temperature and humidity controlled

ThePR750LCD3Cstabilizesinconsistentutilitypower tonominallevelsthataresafeforequipment.Unstable utilitypowercanbedamagingtoimportantdataand hardware.WithAutomaticVoltageRegulation(AVR), damagingvoltagelevelsarecorrectedtosafelevels. AVRautomaticallyincreaseslowutilitypowertoa consistentandsafe110/120volts.

INSTALLING YOUR UPS SYSTEM

DETERMINE THE POWER REQUIREMENTS OF YOUR EQUIPMENT
1. EnsurethattheequipmentpluggedintotheUPS doesnotexceedtheUPSunit’sratedcapacity.If theratedcapacitiesoftheunitareexceeded,an overloadconditionmayoccurandcausetheUPS unittoshutdownorthecircuitbreakertotrip.
2. Therearemanyfactorsthatcanaffectthe amountofpowerthatyourelectronicequipment willrequire.Foroptimalsystemperformancekeep theloadbelow80%oftheunit’sratedcapacity.
HARDWARE INSTALLATION GUIDE
1. YournewUPSmaybeusedimmediately uponreceipt.However,toensurethebattery’s maximumchargecapacity,itisrecommended thatyouchargethebatteryforatleast8hours. YourUPSisequippedwithanautocharge feature.WhentheUPSispluggedintoanAC outlet,thebatterywillautomaticallycharge whethertheUPSisturnedonoroff.Note:This UPSisdesignedwithasafetyfeaturetokeepthe systemfrombeingturnedonduringshipment. ThefirsttimeyouturntheUPSon,youwillneed tohaveitconnectedtoACpoweroritwillnot powerup.
2. WiththeUPSunitturnedoffandunplugged, connectyourcomputer,monitor,andanyother peripheralsrequiringbatterybackupintothe batterypowersuppliedoutlets.DO NOT plug a laser printer, paper shredder, copier, space heater, vacuum, sump pump or other large electrical devices into the “Battery and Surge Protected Outlets”. The power demands of these devices may overload and damage the unit.

3. PlugtheUPSintoa2pole,3wiregrounded receptacle(walloutlet).Makesurethewall branchoutletisprotectedbyafuseorcircuit breakeranddoesnotserviceequipmentwith largeelectricaldemands(e.g.,airconditioner, copier,etc…).Thewarrantyprohibitstheuseof extensioncords,outletstrips,andsurgestrips.
4. Pressthepowerbuttonandtheenterbuttonto turntheuniton.ThePowerOnindicatorlightwill illuminate.Ifanoverloadisdetected,anaudible alarmwillsoundandtheunitwillemitonelong beep.Tocorrectthis,turntheUPSoffandunplug atleastonepieceofequipmentfromthebattery powersuppliedoutlets.Makesurethecircuit breakerisdepressedandthenturntheUPSon.
5. Tomaintainoptimalbatterycharge,leavetheUPS pluggedintoanACoutletatalltimes.
6. TostoretheUPSforanextendedperiod,coverit andstorewiththebatteryfullycharged.Whilein storage,rechargethebatteryeverythreemonths toensurebatterylife.
7. EnsurethewalloutletandUPSarelocated neartheequipmentbeingattachedfor properaccessibility.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE:

2. TurntheUPSoffandunplugitfromtheAC powersource.
3. Pushthebuckleandremovethefrontpanelof theUPS.
4. Loosenthescrewandremovethebattery compartmentplate.

5. Removethebatteriesfromthecompartment.
6. Disconnectthebatterywiresfromthebatteries.
7. Installthereplacementbatteriesbyconnecting thewirebundle(composedofoneredwire andoneblackwire)totheconnectorfromthe batterypack.
8. Putthebatteriesbackintothecompartment.
9. Reinstallthebatterycompartmentplateand tightenthescrewbackintoplace.
10.PutthefrontpanelbackontheUPS.
11. ConnecttoACpowerandchargethenew batteriesforupto8hourstoinsureafullcharge.
