Product Usage Instructions
- Connect the 8DO board to the power transformer.
- Connect the 8DO board to the RS485 I/O Network.
- Set the board number using rotary dials S1 & S2:
- Use switch S1 for the tens portion of the board number.
- Use switch S2 for the ones portion of the board number.
- Example: To set the board as 8DO #1, set S1 to zero and S2 to one.
- Set the RS485 termination jumpers:
- If at either end of a daisy chain, set jumpers UP.
- Otherwise, set jumpers DOWN.
- NOTE: If you change any dip switch settings while the board is powered, disconnect the power and repower the board to reset.
- Connect board to power transformer.
- Connect 8DO to the RS485 I/O Network.
- Use the rotary dials S1 & S2 to set the board number. Use switch S1 to set the “tens” portion of the board number, and S2 as the “ones” portion of the board number. Example: to set the board as 8DO #1, set S1 to zero and S2 to one.
- Set RS485 termination jumpers UP if at either end of a daisy chain. Otherwise, set jumpers DOWN.
NOTE: If you change any dip switch settings while the board is powered, disconnect the power and repower the board to reset.
