SCOUT support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
How do I log into my SCOUT router's web interface?
To enter the router’s Web interface (WebUI), type http://192.168.1.1 into the URL field of your Internet browser. Use the default username 'admin' and the password located on your product label. You will be prompted to change this password upon your first login for security.
-
What is the recommended power supply for SCOUT onBoard systems?
The SCOUT 4G/5G onBoard system domes must be powered with 12V DC (input voltage ranges typically from 9 to 30V DC, depending on your model). Using an incorrect voltage can cause permanent damage to the internal electrical components.
-
How do I insert the SIM card into my SCOUT onBoard system?
Always ensure the system is switched off first. For products like the Compact Basic, unscrew the cap on the bottom of the dome and insert a Nano SIM card into the push-pull slot. If your network uses a SIM Extender or Injector, insert the SIM card into the remote SIM injector unit as outlined in your specific manual.
-
Where can I find the default WiFi password for my SCOUT device?
The default WiFi password and network SSID are printed on the product label. This label is typically found inside the user manual, as an extra sticker provided in the box, or physically attached to the bottom of the router unit/dome.
