Ferret support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
Why can't I connect to my Ferret camera via Bluetooth?
Ferret cameras do not use Bluetooth. They feature a built-in WiFi hotspot. You must connect your phone or tablet to the 'Ferret-WiFi-XXXX' network in your device's WiFi settings.
-
Can I use the Ferret camera underground or inside metal conduits?
No. Wireless signals (WiFi) are blocked by dense earth, water, and metal. The camera will lose connection if placed inside metallic conduits, underground, or underwater.
-
How long does the battery last?
The Ferret camera typically provides up to 90 minutes of operating time with the LEDs on normal brightness before needing a recharge.
-
What should I do if the firmware update gets stuck at 0%?
Try placing your phone into Airplane (Flight) mode, then turn only the WiFi back on. Connect to the Ferret camera and restart the app to retry the update.
-
My phone says the WiFi has no internet connection. Is this normal?
Yes. Because the Ferret camera creates a local WiFi link solely for video transmission, it does not provide internet access. If your phone asks to switch to mobile data or disconnect, select the option to stay connected to the WiFi network.
