2.2 Package Contents

Installation Guide
3.1 Pre-Installation
- Ensure all the accessories in the package are present.
- Prepare a high-speed microSD card (Class 10, 32GB-512GB recommended).
3.2 Installation Steps
1. Positioning:
- Mount near the rearview mirror within wiper coverage for optimal view.
- Adjust to the desired angle using the adjustable pivot.
2. Mounting:
- Clean the windshield installation area to ensure it is free of dust and debris.
- Apply the static cling film evenly to the cleaned surface.
- Peel off the 3M adhesive backing and press the dash cam firmly onto the film.
- Avoid moving or hitting the device after installation to ensure stability.
3. Power Connection:
Use the included 3.6-meter cable to connect the car charger to the 12V socket.
4. Cable Management:
Tuck wires along trim using the pry tool to avoid obstruction.
5. Test:
Start the car to verify that the dash cam powers on and records.
Operation Guide
4.1 Power On/Off
On: Automatically switches on when connected to the power, or when the power button is pressed.
Off: Hold power button for 2 seconds, or disconnect power.
Screen Toggle: Press power button to turn screen on/off.

Button Functions
Power Button (10)
Upon powering on, it automatically turns on. Hold for 2 seconds to turn off. Press again to turn it back on.
When on, press to toggle screen on/off.
Next/Audio Recording Button (2)
Main screen: Tap to toggle the Audio recording function on or off.
Menu screen: Tap to cycle through available function options.
Menu/Front-Rear Camera Switch Button (3)
Main screen: Tap to access the settings menu.
Menu screen: Tap to return to the previous menu.
Dual-camera version: Double-tap to switch between front and rear cameras.
OK Button (1)
After selecting a function, press to confirm and save.
Wi-Fi Button (11)
Main screen : Tap to turn Wi-Fi hotspot on/off.
System Settings -> Wi-Fi hotspot screen: View Wi-Fi status or tap OK Button to toggle hotspot on/off.
4.3 Recording Mode
Default Mode: Automatically enters recording mode upon startup.
Loop recording: Supports segmented recording (default: 3-minute clips). Old files are automatically overwritten.
4.4 Photo Capture & Playback
- Photo Capture: Use the voice command “Take Picture” to capture an image.
- Playback: Press Menu/Front-Rear Camera Switch Button to enter the menu, then use the Next/Audio Recording Button to select a file, and press OK Button to play.
4.5 Menu Settings
Accessing the Menu: Press the Menu/Front-Rear Camera Switch Button to enter the settings interface.
4.5.1 Audio Settings
- Audio Recording Function: Press the Next/Audio Recording Button to toggle on/off (default: off).
- Volume: Adjustable to 4 levels: High, Medium, Low, Off; default: Medium.
- Voice Control: Supports English commands (default: off).

4.5.2 Video Recording Settings
- Video Resolution: Front camera options: 3840 x 2160P, 2560 x 1440P, 1920 x 1080P. Default: 3840 x 2160P @ 25fps. Rear camera fixed at 1920 x 1080P @ 25fps.
- Loop Recording: Options: 1/3/5 minutes, default: 3 minutes.
- Rear Camera Function: Automatically activates when connected. Double-tap the Menu/Front-Rear Switch Button to switch preview.
- Mirror & Flip: Enable/disable mirror or flip mode in settings, default: off.
4.5.3 System Settings
- Screen Timeout: Options: 1/3/5 minutes or always on, default: 5 minutes.
- Language: Default: English. Supports English, Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, German, Korean, and French.
- Speed Unit: KM/H or MPH, default: KM/H.
- Time Settings: Adjustable via menu.
- Frequency: 50Hz/60Hz, default: 60Hz.
- WiFi Hotspot: Switch on/off via the WiFi Button.
4.5.4 Parking Security
Voice Alert on Startup (if triggered): “The parking mode got activated while you were away.”
Note: High temperatures may cause the dashcam to stop parking security or shut down, resulting in data loss.
- Collision Sensitivity: High/Medium/Low; default: Medium.
4.5.5 File Management
Loop Recording List: View front/rear video clips.
Emergency Videos: Access collision-detection recordings.
Captured Images: View/delete front/rear snapshots.

5.2 Wi-Fi Connectivity & App Control
Supports 5G and 2.4G Wi-Fi, allowing real-time viewing and file export via the Baseus app.
Connection Steps:
a. Download the Baseus app (scan the QR code).
b. In the app, tap “Search/Add Device,” then select Dash Cam and choose the model VD1 Pro 4K.
c. Open your phone’s Wi-Fi settings, find the Wi-Fi network named VD1 Pro 4K-xxxx, and connect using the default password: 12345678.
d. Return to the app to complete the connection to the dash cam.
5.3 G-Sensor Collision Detection
Advanced triple-axis, six-phase acceleration sensor automatically locks collision footage into the emergency folder to prevent overwriting.

6.1 Memory Card Requirements
Supports 32GB-256GB microSD cards (Class 10 or higher).
6.2 File Storage & Export
Format: H.264 encoding, MP4 format.
Export Options:
Connect to a PC via USB.
Remove the TF card and use a card reader.
FAQs
Q1: Dash cam won't turn on?
A: Check if the power cable is securely connected. Try using a different car charger or USB cable.
Q2: Unable to connect to Wi-Fi?
A: Make sure the Wi-Fi hotspot is enabled on the dashcam. Check if the Baseus app detects the correct model (VD1 Pro 4K).
Safety & Usage Guidelines
8.1 General Safety
Do Not Disassemble: Unauthorized disassembly, repair, or part replacement may void the warranty. Damage caused by improper handling is not covered.
No Operation While Driving: Avoid interacting with the dashcam while driving to prevent distractions.
8.2 Installation Precautions
Secure Mounting: Ensure the 3M adhesive is firmly attached to prevent the device from falling.
Do not reposition or apply force after installation.
Lens Maintenance: Keep the lens clean and unobstructed to ensure high-quality recordings.
Avoid Obstructions: Do not place unnecessary items around the dashcam to prevent unwanted reflections or interference.
8.3 Power Management
Use Only Original Accessories: Use the included car charger and cable (5V/2.4A). Using non-original power sources may cause fire or short circuits.
8.4 Environmental Adaptability
Heat Protection: In extreme heat, the dashcam may exit parking mode or shut down, potentially causing data loss. Avoid direct sunlight or prolonged exposure to high temperatures.
Operating Temperature: Designed for-20°C to 70°C. Use beyond this range may affect performance.
8.5 Lens Care
Regular Cleaning: Dust and smudges can reduce image clarity-clean the lens periodically. Ensure a Clear View: A blocked lens means no recording-check for obstructions before driving.
8.6 Memory Card Usage
Storage Selection: Choose a 32GB – 128GB microSD card based on recording needs and compatibility.
Regular Maintenance: The dashcam automatically overwrites old footage when storage is full. Backup important videos to a computer or external drive.
Safe Removal: Always turn off the dashcam before removing the microSD card to prevent corruption or data loss.
8.7 Emergency Handling
Preserve Evidence: If an accident occurs, do not delete footage, as it may serve as crucial evidence.
Firmware Updates: Regularly check for manufacturer firmware updates to improve performance and unlock new features.
Battery Maintenance: The dash cam contains a built-in battery, so please pay attention to proper use and care. Avoid overcharging or deep discharging the battery. When not using the device for an extended period, fully charge the battery before storage.
