Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Account Setup
An email will be sent for Bark subscription confirmation. Click
on “Set up my account” to launch the Bark home screen to add
children and devices for monitoring.
Step 2: Select Concerns
Select the issues you are concerned about regarding your child’s
online activity on the Welcome page. Click “Next” after checking
your concerns.
Step 3: Create Child’s Profile
Create your child’s Bark profile by providing their first name
or nickname, birth month, and year. Click on “Create profile.” Your
subscription includes unlimited child profiles and devices.
Step 10: Connect with Child’s Password
If connecting with the child’s password, enter the child’s email
address and password on the sign-in screen that appears. Click
“Next.”
Step 12: Scan QR Code
A QR code will generate on the screen. Scan the QR code with the
child’s device to download the Bark Kids app. Click “Next” after
scanning.
Permissions:
During the setup of the Bark Kids app, your child may be asked
to grant permissions for Bark to access their location, contacts,
media, and other device functionalities.

Q: Can I monitor multiple children and devices with Bark?
A: Yes, Bark subscription includes unlimited child profiles and

Q: What happens if I do not have login information during
setup?
A: You can choose to skip entering login information and do it
later when you have access to the required information.
Q: How do I verify the child’s device during setup?
A: You will need to click on “I’ve entered the code” after
entering the secure device code generated on the parent device in
the Bark for Kids app on the child’s device.

Android Bark Activation
Step 1. Account set up email will come from Bark Subscription confirmation.
Click “set up my account”. This will launch the Bark home screen where you will be prompted to add your children and the devices you are wanting to monitor.
Step 2. Once Welcome page opens on your browser, select as many issues as possible you are concerned about with your child’s online activity.
After checking your concerns Click “Next”
Step 3. Create your child’s Bark profile, First name or nickname, Birth Month and Year.
Click “Create profile” Your Bark subscription includes unlimited devices and child profiles to be created.
Step 4. After creating all child profiles, you need, you will be asked what devices your first child profile uses. Select all devices you would like covered.
Click “Next”
Step 5. After selecting the devices your first child profile uses, you will be asked what email accounts this profile uses. Please select all that apply.
Click “Next” or “None of these”
Step 6. After entering the email information your first child profile uses, you will be asked what apps this profile uses. Please select all that apply.
Click “Next”
Step 7. After selecting all the apps you would like monitored on your first child profile, you will be asked where you would like alerts sent. Add as many text and email you would like to be notified for alerts by adding email or phone numbers to the Add another contact section and clicking “Add”.
Click “Next”
Step 8. After selecting all alert methods, you will be prompted to set up all your first child profile emails and applications.
Step 9. If at any point during the set-up process you do no have login information you can choose “I’ll do this later” when you have access to the information. When connecting to the accounts, you have the option to connect with the device, the password, or the child connecting to the account.
Click “Next” or “I’ll do this later”
Step 10. If connecting with the child’s password. The below Sign in screen will appear Enter the child’s email address followed by the password.
Click “Next”
Step 11. Once logged into your child’s accounts you will be asked if you are using Google Family Link on the child’s device, which is okay, you just will need to make an adjustment on your family link parent app > controls > tap on their device > allow apps from unknown sources.
Make sure add or remove users and developer mode are both off. If you use Google Family Link time limits set bark kids app (sometimes referred to as bark for chrome book) to always allow.
Step 12. A QR code will generate on the screen, and you will just need to scan the QR code with the child’s device to begin to download the Bark Kids app on their device.
When you have scanned the QR code click “Next”
Step 13. A prompt may appear on the screen that states Why isn’t Bark for Kids in the Google Play store?
After reading the prompt click “Got it”
Step 14. The next screen that will pop up will warn you that the file may be harmful, which it is not, it is perfectly safe Click download anyway. On the child’s device you will need to go into their downloaded files>Click the downloaded file>Click open. Follow the Chrome prompts and tap Install Bark app.
After reading the steps click “Next”
Step 15. A prompt may appear on your device that states Harmful app blocked. The Bark app is perfectly safe.
Click “Install anyway” and “Got it” on the screen
Step 16. You will next be asked to verify the child’s device. On the child’s device click the Bark for Kids app and enter the secure device code that popped up on the parent device.
Click “I’ve entered the code” to move to the next step.
Step 17. The next step in the process will ask if you would like to send the child instructions instead. The instructions are for setting up the Bark Kids app.
Select which option you would like to move forward with. They will need to open the Bark Kids app on their device and enter a device code that you generate from your parent dashboard.
During the setup of the Bark Kids app, your child may be asked to grant permissions for Bark to access their location, contacts, media, and other device functionalities.
Depending on the selected connection method, your child might be involved in connecting their social media and email accounts during the setup process.
