Product Usage Instructions
Step 1: Account Setup
Account set up email will come from Bark Subscription
confirmation. Click “Set up my account” to launch the Bark home
screen.
Step 2: Select Concerns
Select issues concerning your child’s online activity. Click
“Next” to proceed.
Step 3: Create Child’s Profile
Create your child’s Bark profile by providing their First name
or nickname, Birth Month, and Year. Click “Create profile”.
Step 4: Add Child Profiles
Add all child profiles needed and select the devices your child
uses. Click “Next”.
Step 5: Email Accounts and Apps
Enter the email accounts and apps used by the profile. Click
“Next”.
Step 6: Log in to Bark Website
Access www.bark.us, log in, and download the app from the
Welcome email on your iOS or Android device.
Step 7: Set up Monitoring
Select the Child’s name for monitoring, choose Apple/iOS, and
follow the prompts.

Q: How long does the initial scan take?
A: The initial scan can take up to 45 minutes
as it covers the past 60 days of the child’s device activity.

iOS Bark Activation
Step 1. Account set up email will come from Bark Subscription confirmation.
Click “set up my account”. This will launch the Bark home screen where you will be prompted to add your children and the devices you are wanting to monitor.
Step 2. Once Welcome page opens on your browser, select as many issues as possible you are concerned about with your child’s online activity.
After checking your concerns Click “Next”
Step 3. Create your child’s Bark profile, First name or nickname, Birth Month and Year.
Click “Create profile” Your Bark subscription includes unlimited devices and child profiles to be created.
Step 4. After creating all child profiles, you need, you will be asked what devices your first child profile uses. Select all devices you would like covered.
Click “Next”
Step 5. After selecting the devices your first child profile uses, you will be asked what email accounts this profile uses. Please select all that apply.
Click “Next” or “None of these”
Only Step 6. After entering the email information your first child profile uses, you will be asked what apps this profile uses. Please select all that apply.
Click “Next”
Step 7. After you have added your children. Go to your home computer and navigate to www.bark.us and click log in. After logging on click the “+” Also download the app from the Welcome email for your iOS device, or Android device (if your child has an iOS device, and you have an android that is okay).
Step 8. Select the Child’s name you are setting up Monitoring for.

Select Apple/iOS
Step 9. The following prompt will show up. Explaining how the child’s device will be further monitored with the use of the home computer and the home Wi-Fi network.
Click “Next”
Step 10. The first scan can take up to 45 minutes because it will scan the child device over the past 60 days. Future scans will not take that long. So, for the first scan, have the following and make sure you have about an hour of time.
Click “Next”
Step 11. Click Download for Mac or Download for Windows depending on the type of home computer you have.
A prompt will generate asking “Do you want to allow downloads from `bark.us’ and `www.bark.us’?” Click Allow
Step 12. After downloading you may be asked a security question. After answering the security question, the Welcome to the Bark Desktop App screen will generate on your screen.
If this is your first time setting up the Bark Desk top App, Click “Setting up the first time”
Then click “Connect to your account”
Step 13. Now you are going to plug in your child’s iOS device to your home computer. Make sure to unlock your child’s iOS device and tap “Trust” the computer when the below screen generates on their device. You may have to click Trust a couple of different times.
On Mac computers you may have to open finder to tap trust the computer there as well. So, check both places, your child’s iOS device and your computer. If a prompt to trust the computer does not generate you may have already granted trust.
Step 14. After Bark detects a device, it will show up on the screen like the below.
Click “Select” At this stage check your child’s device as you may have to enter the log screen passcode one more time to start the analysis. If not move on but be sure to keep checking. Scan begins!
At this point you can set up the Bark app on their device to set up screen time limits on their device.
iOS Device Only Best Practices The Bark desk top app on your computer should be running as often as it can to scan your child’s device as often as it can. On Mac go into your System Preferences and into Battery Settings · Uncheck “Put hard disks to sleep when possible” · Double checking power adapter settings
On Windows search for sleep · Go into power & sleep settings · Make sure computer does not go to sleep too quickly.
· Make sure your child is connecting to the home Wi-Fi when they get home. They may need to enter their passcode setting when prompted this will allow Bark to scan their device.
