1. Introduction
The Mitlvge 7.5 Cubic Feet Fireproof Home Safe is designed to protect your valuable documents, jewelry, cash, and other important items from fire and theft. It features a robust alloy steel construction, a digital keypad for secure access, and an intelligent alarm system. With 35 minutes of fire protection up to 1700°F (927°C), this safe offers critical protection during emergencies.

2. Safety Guidelines
- Do Not Store Emergency Keys or External Battery Box Inside the Safe: Always keep these items in a secure, accessible location outside the safe. If the internal batteries die or you forget your code, you will need these to open the safe.
- Secure Mounting: For enhanced security, it is highly recommended to bolt the safe to a floor or wall. Mounting hardware is typically included.
- Battery Safety: Use only specified battery types (4 AA batteries). Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries. Remove batteries if the safe will not be used for an extended period.
- Avoid Extreme Conditions: Do not expose the safe to extreme temperatures or humidity, which could affect electronic components.

4. Installation & Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the inside of the safe door.
- Insert 4 AA batteries (not included) into the compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover. The keypad should now be powered.
4.2 Initial Opening
Upon first use, open the safe using the emergency key:
- Insert one of the emergency keys into the keyhole located behind the digital keypad.
- Turn the key clockwise while simultaneously turning the knob on the keypad clockwise to open the door.
4.3 Setting Your Personal Code
With the safe door open:
- Press the red reset button located on the inside of the safe door (usually near the hinges or battery compartment). You will hear a beep, and the indicator light on the keypad will flash.
- Within 5 seconds, enter your desired 3-8 digit code on the keypad.
- Press the "#" button to confirm. You will hear a confirmation beep.
- Test the new code with the door open before closing it.

4.4 Mounting the Safe
To prevent unauthorized removal, it is strongly recommended to secure the safe:
- Choose a suitable location, such as inside a closet or bolted to a floor or wall.
- Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes inside the safe.
- Drill pilot holes into the mounting surface.
- Align the safe and secure it using the provided mounting bolts.
5. Operation
5.1 Opening the Safe
There are three methods to open your safe:
- Using Your Personal Code: Enter your 3-8 digit code, then press "#". Turn the knob clockwise to open the door.
- Using Emergency Keys: Insert the emergency key, turn it clockwise, and simultaneously turn the knob clockwise to open the door.
- Using External Battery Box (if internal batteries are dead): Plug the external battery box into the port on the keypad. Enter your personal code, then press "#". Turn the knob clockwise to open the door.

5.2 Silent Mode
To activate silent mode and disable keypad sounds, press "*633" on the keypad. This is useful for discreet access.
5.3 Smart Alarm System
The safe is equipped with a smart alert system:
- Incorrect Entry Alarm: If multiple incorrect codes are entered consecutively, the safe will trigger an alarm and temporarily lock out the keypad.
- Tamper Alarm: Any forceful attempts to open or move the safe may also trigger the alarm.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator light illuminates, replace the 4 AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Follow the battery installation steps in Section 4.1.
6.2 Cleaning
Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.
