1. Important Safety Information

Please read and understand all instructions before assembling and using this product. Keep this manual for future reference.

• Weight Capacity: This bed frame is designed to support a maximum weight of 800 lbs (including mattress and occupants). Do not exceed this limit.
• Assembly: Assemble the bed frame on a soft, clean surface to prevent damage. Ensure all bolts and screws are securely tightened before use. Periodically check and re-tighten fasteners.
• Children: Keep small parts away from children during assembly. This product is not intended for use by children without adult supervision.
• Placement: Position the bed frame on a level surface to ensure stability.

2. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present before beginning assembly. If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact customer support.

3. Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to assemble your Merax King Chenille Platform Bed. It is recommended to have two people for assembly.

1. Unpack and Identify Parts: Lay out all components on a clean, soft surface. Compare them with the parts list to ensure everything is present.
2. Attach Side Rails to Headboard: Align the side rails with the pre-drilled holes on the headboard. Secure them using the provided bolts and washers. Do not fully tighten yet.
3. Attach Side Rails to Footboard: Connect the other end of the side rails to the footboard, aligning holes and securing with bolts and washers. Once all connections are made, fully tighten all bolts.

4. Install Center Support Beam: Place the center support beam into the designated slots or brackets along the length of the bed frame. Secure it with the provided hardware.
5. Attach Slat Support Legs: If your slats require individual support legs, attach them now according to the instructions in your hardware pack.

6. Place Slats: Distribute the wooden slats evenly across the bed frame. Secure them to the side rails using the provided screws or fasteners. Ensure all slats are firmly in place to provide adequate mattress support.

7. Attach Headboard Pillows: The two padded pillows are removable. Attach them to the headboard as desired for comfort and aesthetic.
8. Final Check: Confirm all connections are tight and the bed frame is stable before placing your mattress.

4. Usage Guidelines

To ensure the longevity and proper function of your Merax King Chenille Platform Bed, observe the following guidelines:

• Mattress Compatibility: This bed frame is designed for mattresses between 6 inches and 12 inches thick. A box spring is not required.
• Weight Distribution: Distribute weight evenly across the bed surface. Avoid concentrating heavy loads in one small area.
• Headboard Pillows: The removable headboard pillows provide additional comfort for sitting up. Adjust them as needed for your preference.
• Movement: When moving the bed, lift it rather than dragging it to prevent damage to the legs and frame structure.

5. Care and Maintenance

Proper care will help maintain the appearance and structural integrity of your bed frame.

• Fabric Cleaning: The chenille fabric can be spot cleaned with a mild detergent and a damp cloth. Test on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.

• Frame Cleaning: Wipe the wooden legs and exposed frame parts with a soft, dry cloth.
• Fastener Check: Periodically (every 3-6 months) check all bolts and screws and re-tighten them as necessary to ensure stability.
• Avoid Direct Sunlight: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause fabric fading.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your bed frame, refer to the following common solutions:

• Bed Squeaks:
  • Ensure all bolts and screws are fully tightened.
  • Check that slats are evenly spaced and securely fastened.
  • Verify the center support beam is properly installed and its legs are firm on the floor.
• Bed Feels Unstable:
  • Confirm the bed is on a level surface.
  • Re-tighten all assembly hardware.
  • Ensure all support legs are making firm contact with the floor.
• Missing or Damaged Parts:
  • Do not attempt to assemble with missing or damaged parts. Contact Merax customer support immediately for replacements.
