Zohisin S60P Cordless Soldering Iron User Manual

Introduction

Welcome to the user manual for your Zohisin S60P Cordless Soldering Iron. This portable, fast-heating tool is designed for various soldering tasks, from delicate electronics to general repairs. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe and efficient operation and to maximize the lifespan of your device.

Important Safety Information

  • High Temperature: The soldering iron tip reaches very high temperatures (up to 500°C / 932°F). Avoid direct contact with skin or flammable materials. Always use a heat-resistant stand when not actively soldering.
  • Ventilation: Use in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling fumes produced during soldering. Consider using a fume extractor for prolonged use.
  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power source (PD, QC, DC, PPS via Type-C) is compatible and stable. Do not operate with damaged cables or if the device is wet. Disconnect power when not in use or during maintenance.
  • Storage: Allow the soldering iron to cool completely before storing. Store in a safe place away from children and pets.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Always wear safety glasses to protect eyes from solder splatter or fumes.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On: Once connected to a compatible power source, the device will automatically power on and display the current status on the OLED screen.
  2. Adjust Temperature: Use Button A and Button B (refer to Figure 1 for button locations) to increase or decrease the target temperature. The OLED display will show both the target temperature and the real-time temperature.
  3. Heating: The soldering iron will rapidly heat to the set temperature. The power progress bar on the display indicates the heating status. Wait for the real-time temperature to stabilize at the target temperature before use.
  4. Soldering: Once the target temperature is reached, the iron is ready for use. Apply solder to the joint, ensuring proper contact with the heated tip. Avoid excessive pressure.
  5. Power Off: Disconnect the Type-C power source to power off the device. Allow the tip to cool completely before handling or storage.

Maintenance

  • Tip Cleaning: Regularly clean the soldering tip with a damp sponge or brass wool to remove oxidation and solder residue. This ensures efficient heat transfer and extends tip life. Never file the tip.
  • Storage: Store the soldering iron in one of the provided storage boxes in a dry, cool place when not in use. Ensure the tip is cool before storage to prevent damage or burns.
  • Inspection: Periodically inspect the soldering iron and power cable for any signs of damage, such as frayed wires or cracks. Do not use if damaged and contact support.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Soldering iron does not power on.No power connected or incompatible power source.Ensure a compatible Type-C power source (PD, QC, DC, PPS, Max 21V) is connected securely. Check the power source is functioning correctly.
Tip not heating or heating slowly.Tip not properly installed; insufficient power; faulty tip.Check tip installation and ensure it is fully seated. Verify power source output meets requirements. Replace tip if necessary.
Temperature display is erratic or inaccurate.Loose tip connection; sensor issue; extreme environmental conditions.Re-seat the soldering tip firmly. Ensure operation within recommended environmental conditions. If problem persists, contact support.
Solder does not melt easily.Insufficient temperature setting; oxidized tip; incorrect solder type.Increase the target temperature. Clean the soldering tip thoroughly. Ensure you are using appropriate solder for your application.
