Safety Information
Always adhere to safety precautions when using any electrical testing equipment. Failure to do so may result in electric shock, injury, or damage to the meter or equipment under test.
- This multimeter is rated CAT II 1000V and CAT III 600V. Do not exceed these ratings.
- Inspect test leads for damage before each use. Do not use if insulation is cracked or exposed.
- Ensure the meter is in the correct function and range before connecting test leads to the circuit.
- Do not measure voltage on circuits exceeding 1000V DC or 750V AC.
- Exercise extreme caution when working with voltages above 60V DC or 30V AC RMS, as these pose a shock hazard.
- Always disconnect power to the circuit and discharge high-voltage capacitors before measuring resistance, continuity, or diodes.
- Do not operate the meter if it appears damaged or is not operating properly.
- Replace the battery when the low battery indicator appears to ensure accurate readings.

Setup
Charging the Battery
The multimeter is equipped with a built-in 2500mAh lithium polymer battery. Before first use, or when the low battery indicator appears on the display, charge the device using the provided USB cable.
- Connect the USB charging cable to the multimeter's Type-C port.
- Connect the other end of the USB cable to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port.
- The charging indicator LED will illuminate (typically red) during charging and change color (typically green) when fully charged.

Connecting Test Leads
For most measurements, connect the black test lead to the 'COM' (Common) input jack and the red test lead to the 'VΩHzCAP' input jack. For current measurements (mA/A), refer to the specific current measurement section.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
Press and hold the power button (red button with a circle and line) to turn the multimeter on or off.

Display Features
The multimeter features a 5.0-inch backlit color LCD with 6000 counts, providing clear readings in various conditions. It displays measurement values, units, mode indicators (Auto/Manual), battery status, and other relevant information.

Automatic Mode (Auto Ranging)
When powered on, the multimeter defaults to Auto mode. In this mode, the device automatically detects and measures AC/DC voltage, resistance, and continuity. Simply connect the test leads to the circuit, and the meter will identify the measurement type.
Manual Mode (Function Selection)
To select specific measurement functions manually, press the SEL button. Each press cycles through available functions within a category (e.g., AC Voltage, DC Voltage). The selected function will be indicated on the display.

Figure 6: Manual function selection buttons.
Measurement Functions
- AC/DC Voltage Measurement (V~ / V-)
Connect the red lead to VΩHzCAP and the black lead to COM. Select ACV or DCV mode (or use Auto mode). Apply probes to the circuit in parallel. - AC/DC Current Measurement (A~ / A-)
For current measurements, ensure the circuit is de-energized. Connect the red lead to the '10A' or 'mA/µA' input jack (depending on expected current) and the black lead to COM. Break the circuit and connect the meter in series. Caution: Never connect the meter in parallel to a voltage source when in current mode. - Resistance Measurement (Ω)
Ensure the circuit is de-energized and all capacitors are discharged. Connect the red lead to VΩHzCAP and the black lead to COM. Select Resistance mode. Apply probes across the component. - Capacitance Measurement (F)
Ensure the capacitor is fully discharged before testing. Connect the red lead to VΩHzCAP and the black lead to COM. Select Capacitance mode. Apply probes across the capacitor terminals. - Frequency Measurement (Hz)
Connect the red lead to VΩHzCAP and the black lead to COM. Select Frequency mode. Apply probes to the signal source. - Temperature Measurement (°C/°F)
Insert the thermocouple into the VΩHzCAP and COM jacks. Select Temperature mode. The display will show ambient temperature. For object temperature, place the thermocouple tip on the object. Press SEL to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. - Diode Test (→|)
Ensure the circuit is de-energized. Connect the red lead to VΩHzCAP and the black lead to COM. Select Diode mode. Place the red probe on the anode and the black probe on the cathode. The forward voltage drop will be displayed. - Continuity Test (Ω)))
Ensure the circuit is de-energized. Connect the red lead to VΩHzCAP and the black lead to COM. Select Continuity mode. If resistance is below approximately 50Ω, the buzzer will sound, indicating continuity. - Non-Contact Voltage (NCV) Detection
Select NCV mode. Hold the top of the multimeter near a live AC voltage source. The meter will indicate the presence of AC voltage with an audible beep and visual segments on the display. - Live Wire Detection
Select Live mode. Insert the red test lead into the VΩHzCAP jack. Touch the red probe to the suspected live wire. The meter will indicate if the wire is live.
Additional Functions
- Data Hold (H)
Press the H/Y button briefly to freeze the current reading on the display. Press again to release. - Flashlight
Press and hold the H/Y button to turn the built-in LED flashlight on or off.

Maintenance
Cleaning
Wipe the meter with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasives or solvents. Ensure the meter is completely dry before use.
Battery Care
To prolong battery life, charge the multimeter regularly. If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% and recharge every three months.
Storage
Store the multimeter in its carrying case in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Meter does not power on. | Low or depleted battery. | Charge the battery using the USB cable. |
| Incorrect readings. | Incorrect function selected; damaged test leads; meter malfunction. | Verify function selection. Inspect test leads. Contact customer support if issue persists. |
| No continuity beep. | Circuit resistance too high; circuit not de-energized. | Ensure resistance is below 50Ω. Confirm circuit is de-energized. |
| Display is dim or flickering. | Low battery. | Charge the battery. |
