5. Setup

The tare function allows you to weigh an item while subtracting the weight of a container or other object. Place the empty container on the scale, then press ON/TARE. The display will reset to '0.0'. You can then add the item to be weighed into the container, and only the item's weight will be displayed.

7.1 Measuring Height
- Extend the mechanical height rod upwards.
- Stand on the scale platform with your back against the column and your head held straight.
- Lower the measuring arm of the height rod until it rests gently on the top of your head.
- Read your height from the scale on the rod.
7.2 Calculating BMI
- First, measure your weight as described in Section 6.1.
- After your weight is displayed, press the SET button. The display will prompt for height input.
