5. Setup

5.1 Assembly

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Weighing

  1. Press the ON/TARE button to power on the scale. The display will show '0.0' when ready.
  2. Gently step onto the center of the weighing platform. Stand still until your weight is displayed and stabilizes.
  3. Step off the scale. The reading will hold for a few seconds before returning to zero or automatically powering off (energy-saving mode).

6.2 Changing Measurement Units

With the scale powered on and displaying '0.0', press the UNIT button to toggle between pounds (lb) and kilograms (kg).

6.3 Tare Function

The tare function allows you to weigh an item while subtracting the weight of a container or other object. Place the empty container on the scale, then press ON/TARE. The display will reset to '0.0'. You can then add the item to be weighed into the container, and only the item's weight will be displayed.

7. BMI Measurement

The Adamson M1 scale can calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI) after inputting your height.

7.1 Measuring Height

  1. Extend the mechanical height rod upwards.
  2. Stand on the scale platform with your back against the column and your head held straight.
  3. Lower the measuring arm of the height rod until it rests gently on the top of your head.
  4. Read your height from the scale on the rod.

7.2 Calculating BMI

  1. First, measure your weight as described in Section 6.1.
  2. After your weight is displayed, press the SET button. The display will prompt for height input.
  3. Use the UNIT or QUERY buttons to adjust the height value to match your measured height.
  4. Press SET again to confirm the height. The scale will then display your calculated BMI.

8. Data Saving and User Profiles

The Adamson M1 scale allows you to save measurement data and create user profiles for tracking progress.

8.1 Setting User Information

  1. Press the SET button when the scale is on and displaying '0.0'.
  2. Use the UNIT or QUERY buttons to select a user profile number (P1, P2, etc.).
  3. Press SET to confirm the user profile.
  4. Follow the prompts to enter personal data such as age and gender, using the UNIT or QUERY buttons to adjust values and SET to confirm each entry.

8.2 Saving Measurement Data

  1. After taking a weight measurement and, if desired, calculating BMI, ensure the correct user profile is selected.
  2. Press the MEM button. The display will confirm that the data has been saved to the active user profile.

8.3 Querying Saved Data

  1. Press the QUERY button when the scale is on.
  2. Use the UNIT or QUERY buttons to cycle through saved user profiles and their stored data.

9. Maintenance

9.1 Cleaning

Wipe the scale surface with a soft, damp cloth. A mild soap solution can be used for stubborn marks. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or immerse the scale in water.

9.2 Battery Care

The scale uses a rechargeable battery. To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Recharge the scale when the low battery indicator appears on the display. If storing the scale for an extended period, ensure it is fully charged before storage and recharge every few months.
