Introduction
This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your WACASA 10x16 FT Metal Shed. Please read this manual thoroughly before beginning assembly or use to ensure proper installation and safe operation. This shed is designed for robust outdoor storage, featuring a heavy-duty frame, powder coating for rust protection, and natural light integration.
Safety Information
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in serious injury or property damage.
To achieve 120 MPH wind resistance, this shed must be permanently anchored. Use included bolts for Concrete, deck screws for Decks, or 30-36 inch auger anchors (Not included) for Soft Ground. Failure to properly secure the unit to a solid base may lead to storm damage.
- Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during assembly, including gloves and eye protection.
- Ensure the assembly area is clear of obstructions and hazards.
- Do not assemble in high winds or adverse weather conditions.
- Keep children and pets away from the assembly area.
- Verify all parts are present and undamaged before starting assembly.
- Do not climb on the roof of the shed.
- Ensure proper ventilation when working inside the shed, especially if using power tools or chemicals.
Setup and Assembly
The WACASA 10x16 FT Metal Shed is designed for a team DIY project. We recommend 3-4 adults for assembly, which typically takes 5-8 hours. The shed ships in 3 separate heavy boxes that may arrive on different days. Please ensure all boxes have arrived before starting assembly.
1. Site Preparation
Select a level, stable site for your shed. The shed is compatible with various ground surfaces, including concrete slabs, asphalt foundations, level ground, floating slabs, and trench footings.

2. Foundation and Anchoring
A solid foundation is critical for stability and wind resistance. This shed requires permanent anchoring. Use the included bolts for concrete foundations or deck screws for wooden decks. For soft ground, 30-36 inch auger anchors (not included) are required. Refer to the safety information for critical anchoring details.
3. Frame Assembly
The shed features an ultra-thick 20-gauge structural support frame. Assemble the frame components according to the step-by-step video instructions (if available) and the provided manual. Ensure all connections are secure.

4. Panel Installation
Install the 30-gauge panels onto the assembled frame. Pay attention to the orientation of panels, especially those with integrated vents and windows. The roof panels include two crystal-clear polycarbonate sections for natural light.
5. Door and Window Installation
Install the wide, lockable double doors and the shatter-resistant acrylic windows. Ensure doors operate smoothly and windows are securely sealed.
Operating Your Shed
Your WACASA metal shed is designed for versatile storage and ease of use.
- Access: The wide, lockable double doors allow easy access for large items like riding mowers, standard grills, and medium-sized outdoor equipment. Always ensure doors are securely closed and locked when not in use to protect contents.
- Natural Lighting: The two extra crystal-clear polycarbonate roof panels provide ample natural light, making the interior bright and suitable for various tasks without needing artificial lighting during the day.
- Ventilation: Dual integrated vents actively reduce heat and moisture buildup inside the shed, maintaining optimal airflow and preventing condensation. Ensure these vents are not obstructed.
- Storage Capacity: With 160 square feet of floor area, the shed offers significant space for valuable tools, equipment, outdoor furniture, sporting goods, and more.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance will extend the lifespan and preserve the appearance of your WACASA metal shed.
- Cleaning: Clean the exterior panels periodically with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the powder coating. Rinse thoroughly.
- Rust Protection: The multi-layer powder coating provides an impenetrable shield against rust. Inspect the shed annually for any signs of damage to the coating and touch up as needed to prevent rust.
- Anchoring Inspection: Regularly check the anchoring points to ensure they remain secure, especially after severe weather conditions. Re-tighten bolts or replace anchors if necessary.
- Door and Window Functionality: Lubricate door hinges and latches annually to ensure smooth operation. Clean windows with a non-abrasive cleaner to maintain clarity.
- Ventilation: Ensure the integrated vents are clear of debris to maintain proper airflow.
- Snow Load: While rated for 50 PSF snow load, heavy, wet snow can exceed this. Consider removing excessive snow accumulation from the roof to prevent structural stress.
Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your metal shed.
- Water Leakage:
- Check all panel seams and roof connections for proper sealing. Apply silicone sealant if gaps are found.
- Ensure the shed is installed on a level surface to prevent water pooling around the base.
- Verify that the base is properly installed and sealed to prevent moisture ingress from the ground.
- Door Sticking or Misalignment:
- Check door hinges for debris or rust; clean and lubricate if necessary.
- Ensure the shed frame is square and level. Adjust anchoring if the frame has shifted.
- Condensation Inside Shed:
- Verify that the dual integrated vents are clear and unobstructed to allow proper airflow.
- Ensure items stored inside are dry. Avoid storing wet items without adequate drying time.
- Consider adding a moisture absorber if condensation persists in humid environments.
- Shed Instability/Wind Damage:
- Re-check all anchoring points. Ensure the shed is permanently anchored to a solid base as per safety instructions.
- Inspect all frame connections and panel fasteners for tightness.
