Setup
1. Attaching the Casters
The unit comes with four swivel casters for easy mobility. Turn the unit upside down carefully. Insert each caster into the designated holes on the bottom of the unit until they click securely into place. Ensure all casters are firmly attached before placing the unit upright.
2. Filling the Water Tank
The evaporative cooler can be filled with water using two methods: the top header tank or the lower water tank. For optimal cooling, use cold water and the provided ice packs.
- Top Fill: Open the top cover of the unit. Pour water directly into the header tank. This method is convenient as it does not require bending over.
- Lower Tank Fill: Pull out the lower water tank from the back of the unit. Fill it with water, then slide it back into place. Ensure the tank is securely closed to prevent leaks.
The water tank has a visible water level indicator on the front of the unit. Do not exceed the 'MAX' fill line. The 6.0-gallon capacity allows for extended operation without frequent refills.

3. Using Ice Packs
For enhanced cooling performance, utilize the included ice packs:
- Fill the ice packs with water and shake them.
- Place the filled ice packs in a freezer for at least 6 hours until completely frozen.
- Once frozen, place the ice packs into the top header tank or the lower water tank.

4. Placement
Position the evaporative cooler in a well-ventilated area. For best results in dry climates, ensure there is an open window or door nearby to allow for proper air circulation and prevent humidity buildup. Avoid placing the unit directly against walls or furniture that could obstruct airflow.
Operation
The AKIRES Evaporative Air Cooler can be controlled using either the touch control panel on top of the unit or the included remote control.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the lifespan of your evaporative air cooler.
1. Cleaning the Water Tank
To prevent mold and mildew growth, clean the water tank regularly, especially if the unit is not used daily. Unplug the unit before cleaning. Remove the lower water tank and empty any remaining water. Wash the tank with mild soap and water, then rinse thoroughly. Allow it to air dry completely before reinserting.
2. Cleaning the Evaporative Pad
The evaporative pad (cooling pad) should be cleaned periodically, depending on water quality and usage. Unplug the unit. The back panel is removable for access to the evaporative pad. Carefully remove the pad and rinse it under running water to remove any dust or mineral deposits. Do not use harsh chemicals. Allow the pad to dry completely before reinstalling.
