Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Device does not turn on. Low battery. Charge the device fully using the provided USB cable.
Cannot record. Device is not in 'REC' mode; insufficient storage space. Slide the switch to 'REC'. Check available memory and delete unnecessary files.
Poor recording quality. Excessive background noise; microphone obstructed; device too far from sound source. Ensure the microphone is clear. Position the recorder closer to the sound source. Utilize DSP noise reduction.
Cannot connect to PC/Mac. Faulty USB cable; incorrect connection; driver issue. Try a different USB port or cable. Ensure the recorder is in 'OFF' mode before connecting. Restart your computer.
Voice Activation (VOR) not working as expected. Ambient noise level too low; VOR sensitivity setting. Ensure sound levels exceed 15 dB. Check the manual for VOR sensitivity adjustment if available.
