Setup

1. Unpacking and Initial Placement:

  1. Carefully remove the refrigerator from its packaging.
  2. Place the unit on a stable, level surface. Ensure there is at least 10 cm (4 inches) of space around all sides for proper ventilation.
  3. If the unit was transported horizontally, allow it to stand upright for at least 24 hours before plugging it in. This allows the compressor oil to settle.

2. Power Connection:

The refrigerator can be powered by either AC (home outlet) or DC (car/vehicle outlet).

  • AC Power (110-240V): Connect the AC adapter to the refrigerator's AC input port, then plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.
  • DC Power (12V/24V): Connect the DC power cord to the refrigerator's DC input port, then plug the other end into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket or a compatible 12V/24V power source.

3. App Control Setup (Optional):

The refrigerator can be controlled via a smartphone app for convenience.

  1. Ensure the refrigerator is plugged in and powered on. The LCD screen should display a Bluetooth symbol.
  2. Download the "Alpicool Car Fridge Freezer" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
  3. Open the app and tap "Start Scanning" to search for nearby devices.
  4. Once your refrigerator (e.g., "A1-4XXXXXXXXXX") appears, double-click on it in the app.
  5. Within 5 seconds, press the "SETTINGS" button (gear icon) once on the refrigerator's LCD control panel to confirm pairing.
  6. The app should now display the main operating screen, allowing you to monitor and adjust settings.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off:

Press the power button on the control panel to turn the unit on or off. The LCD display will illuminate when powered on.

2. Temperature Adjustment:

You can set the desired temperature using the control panel or the Alpicool app.

  • Control Panel: Use the "+" and "-" buttons to increase or decrease the temperature. The display will show the set temperature.
  • App Control: Use the horizontal slider in the app to select your target temperature.

3. Cooling Modes (ECO/MAX):

The refrigerator offers two operating modes:

  • MAX Mode: Provides faster cooling, ideal for quickly reaching the desired temperature.
  • ECO Mode: Optimizes for energy savings, suitable for maintaining temperature over longer periods with lower power consumption.

4. Battery Protection Settings:

This feature prevents your vehicle's battery from draining completely. You can select from three levels:

  • H (High): Highest protection, suitable for sensitive batteries or when parking overnight.
  • M (Medium): Standard protection for most uses.
  • L (Low): Lowest protection, allows the refrigerator to run longer, suitable for robust batteries or when the engine is running.

Adjust this setting via the control panel or the app.

5. Internal Storage Zones:

The refrigerator features a main temperature-controlled compartment and a smaller, less actively chilled compartment. The smaller compartment is suitable for items that do not require freezing or intense cooling, such as fruits, bread, or medicines, as its temperature will be higher than the main zone.

6. Removable Basket:

A removable basket is included to help organize smaller items and facilitate easy loading and unloading.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning:

  • Always unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.
  • Wipe the interior and exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure all surfaces are dry before plugging the unit back in.
  • Regularly check and clean the air vents to prevent dust buildup, which can affect cooling efficiency.

2. Defrosting:

This unit features a frost-free defrost system, minimizing ice buildup. If ice does accumulate, turn off the unit and allow it to melt naturally. Wipe away any water with a clean cloth.

3. Storage:

When storing the refrigerator for an extended period, ensure it is clean, dry, and unplugged. Leave the lid slightly ajar to prevent odors and mildew.

Troubleshooting
