1. Important Safety Instructions
Read all safety warnings and instructions before operating this tool. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
General Safety
- Always wear eye protection, hearing protection, and heavy-duty gloves when operating the hedge trimmer.
- Keep all parts of the body away from the cutter blade. Do not remove cut material or hold material to be cut when blades are moving.
- Ensure the work area is clear of bystanders, children, and pets.
- Do not operate the hedge trimmer in wet conditions or in the presence of flammable liquids or gases.
- Inspect the hedge trimmer for damage before each use. Do not use if damaged.
- Always remove the battery pack before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool.
Electrical Safety
- Use only the charger specified by the manufacturer for recharging. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
- Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
- When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another.
2. Product Overview

3. Setup and Assembly
3.1 Assembling the Pole and Trimmer Head
- Align the trimmer head section with the extension pole. Ensure the connection points are clean and free of debris.
- Push the trimmer head firmly onto the pole until it clicks into place.
- Secure the connection by tightening the lock nut or engaging the locker mechanism, if present. Refer to Figure 3.1 for visual guidance.

3.2 Attaching the Battery Pack
- Ensure the trimmer is turned off and the lock-off button is engaged.
- Slide the fully charged battery pack into the battery port on the handle until it locks securely into place.
- To remove, press the battery release button and slide the battery out.
3.3 Battery Charging Instructions
To charge the battery:
- Plug the charger wall plug into a standard electrical outlet.
- Connect the other end of the charger directly into the battery pack.
- The red light on the wall plug indicates that the battery is currently charging.
- The green light on the wall plug indicates that the battery is fully charged.
- The lights on the battery itself are for checking the remaining charge level and will not flash during charging. Press the button next to the lights on the battery to see the current charge level.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Starting and Stopping the Trimmer
- To start: Press and hold the lock-off button, then squeeze the main switch handle. Release the lock-off button once the trimmer starts.
- To stop: Release the main switch handle.
4.2 Adjusting Pole Length and Head Angle
The pole hedge trimmer features an extendable pole and a multi-angle head for optimal reach and cutting angles.
- Pole Extension: Loosen the locker on the pole, extend or retract the pole to the desired length (up to 8 feet total reach), and then securely tighten the locker.
- Head Angle Adjustment: Press the lock button near the trimmer head to adjust the cutting angle. The head can be adjusted up to 150 degrees through 5 positions. Release the button to lock the head in the desired position.

4.3 Trimming Techniques
For best results and safety:
- Always start with a fully charged battery.
- Hold the trimmer firmly with both hands.
- Cut small amounts at a time. Do not attempt to cut branches larger than 5/8 inch (16mm) in diameter.
- Use a sweeping motion, moving the trimmer steadily along the hedge.
- For vertical cuts, move the trimmer from bottom to top. For horizontal cuts, move it in a straight line.
- Be aware of your surroundings and avoid cutting into fences, wires, or other obstacles.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Blade Care
- After each use, remove the battery pack and clean the blades with a stiff brush to remove debris.
- Apply a light coat of machine oil or blade lubricant to the blades to prevent rust and ensure smooth operation.
- If the blades become dull, they can be sharpened by a qualified service technician. Do not attempt to sharpen them yourself unless you have proper training and tools.
6.2 Storage
- Store the hedge trimmer in a dry, secure location out of reach of children.
- Always attach the blade sheath before storing to prevent accidental injury and protect the blades.
- Remove the battery pack from the tool before storing for extended periods.
