2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Weight Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 300 lbs (136 kg). Overloading can compromise stability and performance.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove the scooter and all components from the packaging. Retain the packaging for potential future transport or returns.

4.2 Initial Battery Charge

Before first use, fully charge the lithium battery. Connect the charger to the scooter's charging socket (refer to Figure 5.1 for location) and then plug it into a standard wall outlet. The charging indicator on the charger will change color (e.g., red to green) when fully charged. This may take several hours.

4.3 Unfolding the Scooter

The Rubicon FX70 features an automatic one-click folding system:

  1. Place the folded scooter on a flat, stable surface.
  2. Press the 'Unfold' button on the remote control or the corresponding button on the scooter's control panel.
  3. Allow the scooter to fully extend and lock into its operational position. Ensure all locking mechanisms are engaged before use.

4.4 Attaching the Seat and Adjusting Handlebar

The seat is designed for easy attachment and removal. Align the seat post with the receiver on the scooter's frame and push down until it is securely in place. The handlebar can be adjusted for height between 90cm and 110cm by loosening the quick-release lever, setting the desired height, and re-tightening the lever.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Tiller Console Components

Familiarize yourself with the controls located on the tiller console:

  • Key Switch: Insert the ignition key and turn to the 'ON' position to power on the scooter.
  • Battery Condition Meter: Displays the current battery charge level.
  • Speed Adjustment Dial: Rotate to increase or decrease the maximum speed.
  • Throttle Control Levers: Press the right lever for forward motion, and the left lever for reverse. Release both to engage the electromagnetic brake.
  • Horn Buttons: Press to activate the horn.

5.2 Driving the Scooter

  1. Ensure the key is in the 'ON' position and the battery is sufficiently charged.
  2. Adjust the speed dial to a comfortable setting, especially when starting.
  3. Gently press the forward throttle lever to begin moving. Increase pressure for more speed.
  4. To stop, release the throttle lever. The scooter will brake automatically.
  5. To reverse, gently press the reverse throttle lever.
  6. Use the horn when necessary to alert others.

5.3 Folding the Scooter for Transport/Storage

To fold the scooter:

  1. Ensure the scooter is powered off and the key is removed.
  2. Press the 'Fold' button on the remote control or the corresponding button on the scooter's control panel.
  3. Allow the scooter to fully collapse into its compact folded position.

6. Maintenance
