1. Charging the Device
The AOS05 features a built-in rechargeable battery. To charge, connect the provided USB charging cable to the Charging/USB Communication Port (18) on the device and to a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The charging indicator on the display will show the charging status. Ensure the device is fully charged before first use for optimal battery life.
2. Connecting Test Leads and Probes
Always ensure the device is powered off before connecting or disconnecting leads.
- For Multimeter Functions: Insert the black test lead into the COM (16) input. Insert the red test lead into the VΩHz (17) input for voltage, resistance, or frequency measurements. For current measurements, insert the red lead into the 10A (14) or mA (15) input as appropriate.
- For Oscilloscope Functions: Connect the oscilloscope probe to CH1 (2) or CH2 (3) input. Ensure the probe's ground clip is securely connected to the circuit's ground.
- For Signal Generator Functions: Connect the desired output cable to the Signal Generator Output (1).
3. Powering On/Off
Press and hold the Power Switch (8) for a few seconds to turn the device on or off. The device will boot up in the last used mode.
Operating Modes
The AOS05 features three primary operating modes: Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, and Multimeter. Use the Mode Switch (10) to toggle between these functions.
1. Oscilloscope Mode
This mode allows for waveform visualization and analysis with a 50MHz bandwidth and 200MSa/s real-time sampling rate across dual channels.

- Connecting Probes: Connect oscilloscope probes to CH1 (2) and/or CH2 (3) inputs.
- Auto Setup: Press the AUTO button (6) to automatically adjust vertical scale, horizontal time base, and trigger level for a stable waveform display.
- Adjusting Settings: Use the F1-F4 multifunction keys (5) to navigate menus and adjust parameters like vertical sensitivity (Volts/Div), time base (Sec/Div), trigger settings, and coupling (AC/DC).
- Run/Stop: Press the RUN/STOP button (7) to pause or resume waveform acquisition.
- Measurements: Access the Measure Menu (13) to display automatic measurements such as Vpp, Vmax, Vmin, Frequency, Duty Cycle, etc.
- Zoom/Pan: Use the Zoom/Pan button (12) to magnify or move the displayed waveform.
2. Signal Generator Mode
The built-in signal generator can output 6 different waveforms for testing circuits.

Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and accuracy of your AOS05 device.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth with mild detergent to clean the device's exterior. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the device is powered off and disconnected from all leads before cleaning.
- Battery Care: Recharge the battery regularly, even if the device is not in frequent use, to maintain battery health. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for a long period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%).
- Probe Compensation: Periodically check and adjust oscilloscope probe compensation using the 3V/1kHz square wave output (19) to ensure accurate waveform display.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AOS05, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Device does not power on: Ensure the battery is charged. Connect the USB charging cable and try again. If the issue persists, contact support.
- No display or abnormal display: Check battery level. Try restarting the device. If the screen is blank, it might be in auto-power-off mode; press any button to wake it up.
- Inaccurate Multimeter readings: Verify test leads are correctly connected to the appropriate input terminals. Ensure the correct measurement function and range are selected. Check the battery level.
- Unstable Oscilloscope waveform: Adjust the trigger level and trigger mode. Use the AUTO button (6) to automatically set parameters. Ensure probes are properly compensated and connected. Check for external noise sources.
- Signal Generator output not working: Ensure the signal output is enabled via the RUN/STOP button (7). Verify the output cable connection.
