Installation Guide

1. Pre-Installation Checks

  • Vehicle Compatibility: This unit is specifically designed for Ford F150 models from 2004 to 2008. Verify your vehicle's model year.
  • Dashboard Fit: Before proceeding, carefully measure your vehicle's dashboard opening to ensure it matches the dimensions provided in Figure 1. Some vehicles may require minor modifications or additional trim kits (not included) for a perfect fit.
  • Wiring Harnesses: While the unit is designed for a specific vehicle, always cross-reference the included wiring harnesses with your vehicle's factory wiring. Additional adapters or harnesses may be required depending on your vehicle's specific trim level and factory options.

2. Removing the Factory Radio

  1. Disconnect the vehicle's negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
  2. Carefully remove the dashboard trim surrounding the factory radio. Refer to your vehicle's service manual for specific instructions on trim removal.
  3. Unscrew and remove the factory radio. Disconnect all wiring harnesses and the antenna cable from the back of the unit.

  • Speaker Wires: Connect the speaker wires from the unit to your vehicle's speaker wiring, ensuring correct polarity for each speaker.
  • GPS Antenna: Connect the GPS antenna and route it to a location with a clear view of the sky (e.g., on the dashboard or under the windshield).

  • USB Cables: Connect the provided USB cables. These can be routed to the glove compartment or another accessible location for connecting USB devices.
  • RCA Cables: If using external amplifiers or subwoofers, connect the RCA output cables. If connecting external audio/video sources, use the RCA input cables.
