1. Important Safety Information
Please read all instructions before assembly and use of the BEKA Bassinet Bedside Sleeper. Keep this manual for future reference. Failure to follow these warnings and instructions could result in serious injury or death.
- Suffocation Hazard: Infants can suffocate in gaps between an extra mattress and the side of the bassinet/bedside sleeper, or on soft bedding. Use ONLY the mattress provided by the manufacturer. NEVER add a pillow, comforter, or another mattress for padding.
- Fall Hazard: To prevent falls, do not use this product once the infant begins to push up on hands and knees, or has reached the maximum weight of 15 pounds (6.8 kg), whichever comes first.
- Ensure the bassinet is always placed on a firm, horizontal surface.
- When used in bedside sleeper mode, ensure the bassinet is securely attached to the adult bed using the provided straps, and there are no gaps between the bassinet and the adult mattress.
- Keep small parts away from children during assembly.
- Regularly check all fasteners and connections to ensure they are tight and secure.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1. 2-in-1 Convertible Mode (Bassinet & Bedside Sleeper)
The BEKA Bassinet offers two modes for versatile use:
- Standalone Bassinet Mode: For independent use, ensure both mesh sides are zipped up and secured. This provides a safe and enclosed sleeping space.
- Bedside Sleeper Mode: To use as a bedside sleeper, unzip and lower one side panel. This allows for easy access to your baby for feeding, comforting, and diaper changes. Ensure the second layer is reinforced with its zipper-secured structure for stability.

4.2. Height Adjustment
The bassinet offers 4 adjustable height positions, ranging from 28 to 31 inches, with 1-inch spacing between each level. This allows it to fit various adult bed heights.
- To adjust the height, locate the adjustment buttons on each leg.
- Press the buttons and simultaneously slide the legs up or down to the desired height.
- Ensure both sides are adjusted to the same height and click securely into place before placing your baby in the bassinet.

4.3. Moving and Locking
The bassinet features auto-lock wheels for safe and smooth movement.
- To Move: Slightly lift one side of the bassinet. The supporting feet will convert into wheels, allowing for easy transport.
- To Lock: Once all four legs are placed firmly on the floor, the wheels automatically retract into the feet, providing a strong grip and improved stability. This eliminates the need for manual wheel locks.

4.4. Securing to Adult Bed (Bedside Sleeper Mode)
When using the bedside sleeper mode, it is crucial to secure the bassinet to the adult bed using the provided straps to prevent gaps and ensure stability.
- Position the bassinet next to the adult bed with the lowered side facing the bed.
- Thread the four high-tensile safety straps under the adult mattress.
- Securely fasten the straps to the bassinet frame, ensuring a rigid, zero-gap lock between the bassinet and the adult bed.
- Verify that there are no gaps between the bassinet and the adult mattress that could pose a suffocation hazard.

5. Maintenance and Care
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and hygiene of your BEKA Bassinet.
- Mattress Cover: The cotton mattress cover is removable and machine washable. Use a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
- Bassinet Fabric (Attached): Spot clean the attached bassinet fabric with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not machine wash the entire frame with fabric attached.
- Frame: Wipe the carbon steel and plastic frame components with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Storage: When not in use, disassemble the bassinet and store it in the provided storage bag in a cool, dry place.

6. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Bassinet feels unstable or wobbly. | Legs not fully extended or locked. | Ensure all four dual-function feet are fully extended and clicked into their locked position on a flat surface. Check that height adjustments are even on both sides. |
| Difficulty moving the bassinet. | Not lifted correctly to engage wheels. | Slightly lift one side of the bassinet to engage the auto-lock wheels. Do not drag the bassinet without lifting. |
| Gaps between bassinet and adult bed in bedside mode. | Straps not securely fastened or bassinet not positioned correctly. | Re-position the bassinet flush against the adult bed. Ensure the safety straps are tightly secured under the adult mattress and to the bassinet frame. Adjust bassinet height to match the adult mattress height. |
| Side panel does not lower smoothly. | Zipper obstruction or fabric misalignment. | Check for any fabric caught in the zipper. Ensure the zipper is fully unzipped before attempting to lower the panel. |
