5. Setup and Installation
5.1. Mounting
The GEYA GPS8-17 is designed for easy installation on a standard 35mm DIN rail (EN/IEC 60715). Ensure the mounting location is free from excessive vibration, moisture, and extreme temperatures, and allows for adequate ventilation.
5.2. Wiring Diagram
The GPS8-17 is a dual power automatic transfer switch. Refer to the wiring diagram below for correct connection of main power, backup power, and load. Ensure all connections are secure and comply with local electrical standards.

Figure 4: Wiring Diagram for GEYA GPS8-17. This diagram illustrates the connections for main power, backup power, and the load, along with two common application scenarios. It also includes a detailed panel diagram.
Wiring Scenarios:
- Scenario 1: Power conversion between a photovoltaic (PV) inverter and mains power.
- Scenario 2: Power conversion between mains and backup power sources, such as generators.
Important Note: The N poles are all N-poles straight through the load end, and their state does not change during switch cut-off or conversion.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Panel Overview
The front panel of the GPS8-17 features an LED display and control buttons for monitoring and configuration. Refer to Figure 4 for a visual guide.
- Main Power Supply Voltage Display (L1, L2): Shows the voltage of the primary power source.
- Backup Power Supply Voltage Display (L1, L2): Shows the voltage of the secondary power source.

8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your GEYA GPS8-17 ATS, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on | No power to the unit; incorrect wiring. | Check main and backup power sources. Verify wiring connections according to the diagram. |
| ATS does not switch automatically | Power source unavailable; incorrect settings; fault condition. | Check availability of both power sources. Review power source priority settings. Check for fault indicators. |
| Protection trips (Overvoltage/Undervoltage/Overcurrent) | Actual voltage/current exceeds set thresholds; faulty load. | Verify actual voltage/current with a multimeter. Adjust protection thresholds if necessary (within safe limits). Inspect the load for faults. |
| LED display is blank or erratic | Power supply issue; internal fault. | Check power supply to the unit. If problem persists, contact customer support. |
For issues not covered here, or if troubleshooting steps do not resolve the problem, please contact GEYA customer support.
