1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Aeitto Nugget Ice Maker NIMA. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your new ice machine. Please read these instructions thoroughly before first use and retain them for future reference.

2. Important Safety Instructions

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury, always follow basic safety precautions when using electrical appliances.

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not touch cold surfaces during operation.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, power cord, or plug in water or other liquids.
  • Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  • Unplug from the outlet when not in use or before cleaning.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use.
  • Ensure proper ventilation around the unit. Maintain at least 6 inches of space on all sides.
  • Use only potable water in the water tank.

3. Product Overview

The Aeitto Nugget Ice Maker NIMA is designed to produce chewable nugget ice efficiently. It features a high-efficiency compressor and a large capacity water tank and ice basket.

4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking

Carefully remove all packaging materials. Inspect the ice maker for any damage. Ensure all accessories, including the ice basket and scoop, are present.

4.2 Placement

  • Place the ice maker on a stable, level surface away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation by leaving at least 6 inches (15 cm) of space around the unit.
  • Do not place the unit near appliances that generate heat, such as ovens or refrigerators, as this can affect ice production efficiency.

4.3 Initial Cleaning

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the ice maker. Refer to the "Maintenance and Cleaning" section for detailed instructions on using the self-cleaning function.

4.4 Power Connection

Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet (110 volts). Ensure the power cord is not pinched or damaged.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Filling the Water Tank

  1. Open the top lid of the ice maker.
  2. Remove the ice basket.
  3. Fill the water tank with potable water up to the MAX fill line. Do not overfill.
  4. Replace the ice basket and close the lid.

5.2 Starting Ice Production

  1. Press the POWER button on the control panel to turn on the ice maker. The "MAKING ICE" indicator light will illuminate.
  2. The ice maker will begin its first cycle. Ice will be released in approximately 5 minutes.
  3. The unit will continue to make ice automatically until the ice basket is full or the water tank is empty.

5.3 Automatic Ice Making Cycle

The ice maker is equipped with an infrared sensor. When the ice level reaches the sensor, the unit will pause ice production and the "ICE FULL" indicator will light up. After approximately 30 minutes, if the ice level has dropped (due to ice melting or removal), the unit will automatically resume ice production. If the "ADD WATER" indicator lights up, the water tank is empty and needs refilling.

Note: This ice maker does not have a refrigeration function for storing ice. It is recommended to transfer ice to a freezer for long-term storage.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

6.1 Self-Cleaning Function

The ice maker features an automatic self-cleaning mode:

  1. Ensure the water tank is filled with clean water.
  2. Press and hold the CLEAN button for 3 seconds to activate the self-cleaning mode. The unit will run a cleaning cycle for approximately 15 minutes.
  3. After the cycle, drain the water from the unit using the drain plug at the bottom rear.

6.2 Regular Cleaning

  • Exterior: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Interior: For thorough cleaning, unplug the unit, remove the ice basket, and drain all water. Wipe down the interior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent solution. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and drain again.
  • Descaling: Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) may build up. Use a descaling solution specifically designed for ice makers or a mixture of water and vinegar to clean the internal components. Follow the descaling product's instructions or run the self-cleaning cycle with the vinegar solution, then rinse thoroughly.

6.3 Storage

If the ice maker will not be used for an extended period, clean it thoroughly, drain all water, and allow it to dry completely before storing in a cool, dry place.

7. Troubleshooting
