4. Setup
Proper setup ensures optimal performance and safety.
4.1 Hose Connection
- Select the appropriate hose adapter based on your desired discharge volume and hose diameter (12.5mm, 19mm, 25mm, 38mm, G1", or G1-1/2").
- Attach the chosen adapter securely to the pump's outlet.
- Connect your discharge hose to the adapter. Ensure a tight fit to prevent leaks.

4.2 Float Switch Adjustment
The float switch controls the automatic on/off function based on water level.
- Locate the float switch and its locking mechanism on the pump body.
- Adjust the position of the float switch by moving the lock up or down to set your desired minimum and maximum water levels for automatic operation.
- Ensure the float switch can move freely without obstruction.

5. Operating Instructions
Follow these steps for safe and effective pump operation.
- Placement: Submerge the pump completely in the water to be drained. Ensure the pump is stable and not resting on loose debris. The bottom intake design allows for efficient drainage from low water levels.
- Power Connection: Plug the pump into a suitable 100V, 50/60Hz power outlet.
- Automatic Operation: With the float switch properly adjusted, the pump will automatically start when the water level reaches approximately 4cm and stop when it drops below 3.2cm.
- Manual Operation (if applicable): If you wish to bypass the float switch for continuous operation (e.g., for initial priming or specific tasks), ensure the float switch is held in an 'on' position or consult the full product manual for specific manual override instructions.
- Monitoring: Periodically check the pump's operation and the water level. Ensure the discharge hose is clear and directing water to a safe drainage area.
- After Use: Disconnect the power supply once drainage is complete or if the pump is no longer needed.

6. Maintenance
The DEKOPRO 560W Submersible Drainage Pump is designed for minimal maintenance due to its oil-free motor.
- Cleaning: After each use, especially when pumping dirty water, rinse the pump thoroughly with clean water to remove any debris or sediment. This prevents clogging and ensures efficient operation.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord, hose connections, and pump housing for any signs of damage or wear. Replace damaged parts immediately.
- Storage: When not in use, store the pump in a clean, dry place, protected from frost and direct sunlight.
- No Oil Changes: The oil-free motor design eliminates the need for oil changes or lubrication.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your pump, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pump does not start | No power supply Float switch not activated Overload protection triggered | Check power connection and outlet Ensure water level is above 4cm and float switch moves freely Disconnect power, wait for pump to cool, then reconnect |
| Pump runs but no water is discharged or flow is weak | Air trapped in pump Hose or outlet clogged Discharge head too high Water level too low | Tilt the pump slightly to release trapped air Check and clear any blockages in the hose or pump outlet Ensure discharge head is within 7m maximum Ensure water level is sufficient for operation |
| Pump stops unexpectedly | Water level dropped below 3.2cm (auto-off) Overheat protection triggered Clogging by large debris | This is normal auto-off behavior Disconnect power, allow pump to cool, check for obstructions Disconnect power, remove pump, clear any debris from intake |
| Excessive noise during operation | Debris in impeller Pump not stable | Disconnect power, inspect and clear impeller Ensure pump is placed on a stable, flat surface |
