Operating Instructions
Convertible Lower Bed (Twin to Full Expansion):
The lower bed is designed to expand from a twin size to a full size, offering versatile sleeping arrangements. To expand the lower bed:
- Clear the Area: Ensure there is sufficient space around the lower bed for expansion.
- Unlock Mechanism: Locate the locking mechanism (if any) on the lower bed frame. Release it according to the specific design (refer to assembly diagrams for details).
- Extend Frame: Gently pull the designated section of the lower bed frame outwards until it reaches the full-size position.
- Secure in Place: Re-engage the locking mechanism to secure the bed in its expanded full-size configuration.
- Retract Frame: To convert back to twin size, reverse the process: release the lock, push the frame inwards, and secure the lock.

Using the Slide:
The integrated slide provides a fun way to descend from the upper bunk. Always ensure safe use:
- Supervision: Children should always be supervised when using the slide.
- One User at a Time: Only one child should use the slide at a time.
- Proper Position: Slide feet first, sitting upright. Do not slide headfirst or on your stomach.
- Clear Landing Area: Ensure the area at the bottom of the slide is clear of obstructions.
Guardrail Shelves:
The guardrails on both bunks include integrated mini shelves for convenience.
- Storage: Use these shelves for lightweight items such as books, small toys, or decorative items.
- Weight Limit: Do not overload the shelves. Avoid placing heavy or fragile items that could fall.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and safety of your bunk bed.
- Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish.
- Hardware Check: Periodically check all bolts, screws, and connections. Tighten any loose hardware to ensure stability and safety. This should be done at least once every three months.
- Inspect for Damage: Regularly inspect the bed frame, slats, guardrails, and slide for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Discontinue use if significant damage is found and contact customer support.
- Mattress Support: Ensure mattresses are of appropriate size and thickness for bunk beds to maintain guardrail effectiveness.
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions:
- Wobbling or Instability:
Solution: Check all assembly hardware. Tighten any loose bolts or screws. Ensure the bed is placed on a level surface. - Squeaking Noises:
Solution: Squeaking often indicates loose connections. Identify the source of the squeak and tighten the corresponding hardware. Applying a small amount of lubricant (e.g., silicone spray) to metal-on-metal contact points can also help. - Difficulty Expanding/Retracting Lower Bed:
Solution: Ensure the area is clear of obstructions. Check for any debris in the sliding mechanism. If a locking mechanism is present, ensure it is fully disengaged. - Damaged or Missing Parts:
Solution: Do not attempt to use the bed with damaged or missing parts. Contact Virubi customer support immediately for replacement parts.
