5. Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the shredder from its packaging.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Automatic Shredding (Auto-Feed)

The auto-feed feature allows for shredding up to 160 sheets of A4 paper (64g/m²) continuously for up to 60 minutes.

  1. Open the auto-feed tray cover.
  2. Stack up to 160 sheets of paper neatly into the auto-feed tray. Ensure there are no staples, paper clips, or folded corners.
  3. Close the auto-feed tray cover. The shredder will automatically begin shredding.
  4. The shredder will stop automatically once all paper in the tray has been shredded.

6.2 Manual Shredding

For smaller quantities of paper, credit cards, or documents with staples/paper clips, use the manual feed slot. The manual feed can handle up to 12 sheets of paper simultaneously for approximately 10 minutes of continuous use.

  1. Insert paper or a credit card into the manual feed slot.
  2. The shredder will detect the item and begin shredding automatically.
  3. For credit cards, insert one card at a time into the designated card slot.

Note: Remove staples and paper clips from documents before using the auto-feed tray. The manual feed slot can handle small staples and paper clips, but it is recommended to remove them to prolong blade life.

7. Maintenance

7.1 Emptying the Waste Bin

The shredder features a 23L large capacity waste bin with a transparent window, allowing you to monitor the shred level. Empty the bin when it is approximately 2/3 full to prevent paper jams and ensure optimal performance.

  1. Turn off and unplug the shredder.
  2. Pull out the waste bin.
  3. Dispose of the shredded material.
  4. Reinsert the waste bin firmly until it clicks into place. The shredder will not operate if the bin is not properly closed.

7.2 Auto-Cleaning Function

The shredder is equipped with an auto-cleaning function to help clear small paper debris from the blades, improving performance and preventing jams.

  • Upon powering on, the shredder will automatically reverse for 1-3 seconds.
  • After each shredding cycle, the blades will reverse for 2-3 seconds to clear any remaining paper fragments.

7.3 Oiling the Shredder

Regular oiling of the shredder blades is recommended to maintain optimal performance and extend the life of the unit. Use shredder oil sheets or liquid shredder oil specifically designed for paper shredders.

  1. Turn off the shredder.
  2. Apply shredder oil across the manual feed opening or feed an oil sheet through the manual feed slot.
  3. Run the shredder in reverse for 5-10 seconds to distribute the oil.
  4. Repeat this process after every 30 minutes of continuous shredding or at least once a month.
