Your ZDZA ZA04 Electric Bike comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the assembly process. A tool kit is included to assist with this process.
What's in the Box:
- 26" Step-Over Electric Bike (main frame, wheels, and most components pre-assembled)
- Charger
- Tool Kit
- User Manual (this document)
Assembly Steps:
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any shipping damage.
- Handlebar Installation: Attach the handlebar to the stem, ensuring all bolts are securely tightened. Adjust the angle for comfortable riding.
- Front Wheel Attachment: Install the front wheel, ensuring the quick-release skewer or axle nuts are properly secured. Verify the brake rotor aligns correctly with the caliper.
- Pedal Installation: Identify the left (L) and right (R) pedals. Thread the pedals into the crank arms by hand, then tighten securely with a wrench. Note that the left pedal has a reverse thread.
- Seat Post and Saddle: Insert the seat post into the frame and adjust the saddle height to your preference. Ensure the quick-release clamp is tightened firmly.
- Battery Installation: Insert the removable battery into its designated slot on the frame. Ensure it clicks into place securely.
- Pre-Ride Check: Before your first ride, double-check the tightness of all bolts, especially on the handlebars, wheels, and seat. Ensure brakes are functioning correctly and tires are inflated to the recommended pressure.

Operating Instructions
Familiarize yourself with the controls and functions of your ZDZA ZA04 Electric Bike for a safe and enjoyable riding experience.
Powering On/Off:
To power on the e-bike, press and hold the power button on the LCD display. To power off, repeat the process. The display will illuminate, showing various ride data.
Riding Modes:
Your ZA04 e-bike offers multiple riding modes:
- Pure Electric Mode: Engages the motor via a throttle, providing power without pedaling.
- Pedal Assist Mode (PAS): The motor provides assistance as you pedal. You can adjust the level of assistance (typically 1-5) via the display controls. This mode offers the longest battery range.
- Normal Bike Mode: The electric system is off, and you pedal the bike like a traditional bicycle.
- Push Assist Mode: Provides low-speed motor assistance for walking the bike, useful when pushing it uphill.
Gear Shifting:
The bike is equipped with a 7-speed Shimano gear system. Use the shifter on the handlebar to change gears, allowing you to adapt to different terrains and riding conditions. Shift smoothly to avoid strain on the drivetrain.

Battery Charging:
The 375Wh lithium battery is removable for convenient charging. Connect the charger to the battery and a standard power outlet. The charging indicator on the charger will show the charging status. A full charge typically takes approximately 5 hours. Do not leave the battery completely discharged for extended periods.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the safety, performance, and longevity of your ZDZA ZA04 Electric Bike.
General Cleaning:
Clean your e-bike regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using high-pressure washers directly on electrical components, bearings, or seals.
Tire Pressure:
Check tire pressure before each ride. Maintain the recommended pressure (usually indicated on the tire sidewall) for optimal performance and to prevent punctures. The ZA04 features 26-inch puncture-resistant tires.

Brake Inspection:
Inspect brake pads for wear and replace them if they are thin. Ensure brake levers are firm and responsive. Adjust brake cable tension as needed.
Chain Lubrication:
Lubricate the chain regularly, especially after riding in wet or dusty conditions, to ensure smooth gear changes and prevent rust.
Battery Care:
Store the battery in a cool, dry place. Avoid fully discharging the battery for extended periods, as this can reduce its lifespan. Charge it periodically even if not in use.

Component Tightness:
Periodically check and tighten all bolts and fasteners, especially on the handlebars, stem, seat post, and wheels. Loose components can affect safety and performance.
Suspension Care:
The front suspension fork is lockable. Keep the stanchions clean and free of dirt. Consult a bike mechanic for any complex suspension adjustments or repairs.
