1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Waterdrop M6HG Mineralized Instant Hot Reverse Osmosis System. This advanced countertop water filter provides purified, mineralized, and instant hot water for various needs. Featuring an 8-stage filtration process and NSF/ANSI 58 & 372 certifications, it ensures high-quality drinking water. This manual provides essential information for safe operation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

2. Safety Precautions

Please read all safety instructions carefully before operating the appliance to prevent injury or damage.

  • Electrical Safety: Ensure the power outlet matches the appliance's voltage. Do not immerse the unit in water. Unplug before cleaning or maintenance.
  • Hot Water Safety: The system dispenses hot water up to 95°C. Exercise extreme caution to avoid burns. Keep children away from the hot water dispenser.
  • Pitcher Handling: DO NOT remove the pure water pitcher during flushing or while the unit is actively dispensing water. Keep the pitcher on the unit during flushing and use.
  • Placement: Place the unit on a stable, flat surface. Ensure at least 55cm of space above the unit for easy tank replacement and proper ventilation.
  • Water Source: Use only potable tap water in the feed water tank.
  • Maintenance: Only perform maintenance as described in this manual. For complex issues, contact customer support.

3. Product Components

The Waterdrop M6HG system includes the main unit, a detachable glass pitcher, and pre-installed filters.

  • Main Unit: Houses the filtration system, water tanks (4L tap water, 1.5L waste water), heating element, and control panel.
  • Detachable Glass Pitcher: A 1.2L pitcher for purified water, made of glass to prevent chemical harm.
  • Filters: Multi-stage filters including a RO membrane, pre-carbon filter, scale inhibitor, PP cotton, activated carbon filter, mineral infusion layer, and UV treatment.

4. Setup

The Waterdrop M6HG is designed for installation-free use. Follow these steps for initial setup:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
  2. Placement: Place the main unit on a stable, level countertop. Ensure adequate space around the unit, especially 55cm above for tank access.
  3. Fill Water Tank: Open the feed water tank lid and fill it with potable tap water. The tank has a 4L capacity for tap water.
  4. Connect Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
  5. Initial Flushing: The system will automatically initiate an initial flushing cycle. DO NOT remove the glass pitcher during this process. This flushes the filters and prepares the system for use.
  6. NFC One-Tap Support: For a smart guide, turn on NFC on your phone and tap it against the NFC label on the unit. This provides access to installation videos, FAQs, and customer support.

5. Operating Instructions

The M6HG system offers customizable temperature and volume settings for your convenience.

  1. Power On: The unit powers on automatically when plugged in.
  2. Select Temperature: Use the control panel to select your desired water temperature. Options include:
    • Room Temp (for daily drinking)
    • 45°C (for baby formula)
    • 65°C (for tea)
    • 85°C (for coffee)
    • 95°C (for oatmeal)
  3. Adjust Volume: Select the desired dispensing volume from 150ml, 250ml, 350ml, 500ml, or MAX.
  4. Dispense Water: Place the glass pitcher or a cup under the dispenser and press the dispense button. The system will heat and dispense water instantly.
  5. Favorite Mode: Save your preferred temperature and volume settings using the 'Favorite Mode' for one-tap access.
  6. Voice Prompts: The unit provides voice prompts for actions like refilling water or replacing filters.
  7. Automatic Water Refill: The system automatically refills the pure water reservoir below 0.6L to ensure water is always ready.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your Waterdrop M6HG system.

6.1 Filter Replacement

The system will indicate when filters need replacement via the control panel and voice prompts. Filters can be replaced in seconds using the 'Twist & Pull' design.

  1. Unplug the unit from the power outlet.
  2. Locate the filter compartment.
  3. Twist the old filter counter-clockwise and pull it out.
  4. Insert the new filter, twist clockwise until secure.
  5. Plug the unit back in. The system may initiate a flushing cycle after filter replacement.

6.2 Cleaning

  • Main Unit: Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the unit in water.
  • Glass Pitcher: The 1.2L detachable glass pitcher can be washed with mild soap and water.
  • Waste Water Tank: The waste water tank (1.5L capacity) should be emptied regularly. The waste water is 100% separate from pure water and can be recycled for non-potable uses like watering plants or cleaning.

7. Filtration Process and Certification

The Waterdrop M6HG employs an advanced 8-stage filtration system to ensure comprehensive purification and mineralization.

This process reduces contaminants like Fluoride, PFOA, PFOS, TDS, Chlorine, Lead, Heavy Metals, Chromium, VOCs, Cadmium, and other impurities.

After RO purification, the system adds essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, and potassium to improve taste and provide balanced daily drinking water.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Waterdrop M6HG system, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

  • No Water Dispensing: Check if the unit is plugged in, the water tank is filled, and the glass pitcher is correctly placed. Ensure no error codes are displayed on the panel.
  • Unusual Taste/Odor: This may indicate filters need replacement or the system requires flushing. Perform a flushing cycle as per initial setup instructions.
  • Slow Water Flow: Check filter status. Clogged filters can reduce flow rate. Replace filters if indicated.
  • Error Codes: If an error code appears on the display, refer to the NFC smart guide for specific instructions or contact customer support.
