4. Assembly Instructions

Follow these steps carefully to assemble your robot. You will choose to build either the robot dog or the robot cat during this process.

  1. Prepare Components: Carefully detach all plastic parts from their frames. Use a small file or sandpaper if necessary to smooth any rough edges.
  2. Assemble the Main Body: Connect the motor and gear assembly to the main body frame. Ensure all gears mesh correctly.
  3. Install Circuit Board: Secure the circuit board within the designated slot in the main body. Connect the motor wires to the circuit board as indicated in the diagram (refer to the included paper instructions for detailed wiring diagrams).
  4. Attach Legs: Connect the four leg assemblies to the main body. Ensure they can move freely.
  5. Choose Head: Decide whether to assemble the dog head or the cat head. Attach the chosen head to the front of the main body.
  6. Battery Installation (Robot): Open the battery compartment on the robot's main body. Insert 2 x AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Close the compartment securely.
  7. Battery Installation (Remote Control): Open the battery compartment on the remote control. The remote control typically comes with a pre-installed battery, but ensure it is properly seated.
  8. Final Check: Before operating, ensure all connections are secure and all parts are firmly attached.

  2. Remote Control: The remote control has buttons for forward and backward movement.
  3. Forward Movement: Press and hold the 'Forward' button on the remote control to make the robot move forward.
  4. Backward Movement: Press and hold the 'Backward' button on the remote control to make the robot move backward.
  5. Turning: The robot's design allows for simple forward and backward movement. Turning is achieved by adjusting the robot's initial direction.
  6. Power Off: When finished playing, switch the robot's power to 'OFF' to conserve battery life.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the robot with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use water or cleaning agents, as this can damage electronic components.
  • Storage: Store the robot in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • Battery Removal: If the robot will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries from both the robot and the remote control to prevent leakage.
  • Component Check: Periodically check for loose parts or connections and re-secure them if necessary.
